Maybe not until November, though, depends on how long it takes us to settle in.
But we will be having one specifically for our DIS family. It might be BYOBB though -- "Bring Your Own Bean Bag" because we don't have enough chairs
a kid -- we'll find out by the end of the day Monday on the shingles. I'm confident they'll do something to take care of it, though.
After my dad and I walked through yesterday, we flagged some touch-up things for Monday... went back today and most of them were *already* taken care of! So I'm sure if they're that fast to respond to issues when we haven't even told them to do it yet, they'll take care of the roof. For the supports, we got the official report and the official report wasn't as bad as the guy was making it out to be while we were walking through (of course the guy made it sound like the house was "trash" as he was walking through, but reported that the framing was actually superior to most framining in this area). In fact, in several of the points where he told us there was something wrong, in the report itself he said things like "this is not uncommon and should not cause a problem but is something the client should be aware of." If nothing else on the supports, my dad and I can attach some. That one we consider to be no biggie, though we're going to ask them to add another board or two.
Kelli -- yes, this is happening too fast! Way too fast for us to mentally process it. We're just hoping it doesn't happen so fast that something goes wrong, but so far so good! The biggest thing now is coming up with the $$$ by closing.
Saffron -- that's right, we have been saving/looking that long, haven't we?? Wow.
Laura -- actually, we should be picking her up sometime mid to late September. She's named Sienna.
The breeder said she'd hold her until we were ready for her since we got the house earlier than expected.
Denise -- I never answered your question in another thread -- yes, you're more than welcome to come visit while you're in town later this year!!
