Yay! Picked a year.

We went to DW in June and DH said at least 5 years til the next trip. Then we found out in September that we are having our first baby together in May. Since then it seems like DH has talked almost nonstop about how much he enjoyed the trip. Last night I came back to the table at dinner time to find him and the stepkids talking about our dinner at OHana. Needless to say, we are now in the beginning stages of planning a trip for 2010. I figure the baby will be 2 then but my stepdaughter will still be 9. I am looking at August because it starts value season and I am not sure that we would be able to take the stepkids along if we waited until later in the fall. Now I just need to figure out how to try to save up money for DW while I am being a stay at home mom and decide whether to wait until after the trip to TTC baby #2 (we waited until after this years trip for #1). I'm just excited right now because I have come up with at least the year of the trip...

Congrats! It feels good to have a trip planned, doesn't it, even if it is far off! My DH, DD and I went in Feb 07 and my DH also said "5 years - at least!" before going back, even though he had a great time.

So, I am also hoping to have a new little one to bring next time we go as a family - in 2011 (talked him down by a year)! BUT, I have a conference there in 2010, so that is my next planned trip - Oct 2010.

BTW - my DD was 2 when we brought her and I thought that was a GREAT age for a first trip to WDW!

We are also waiting for our second baby, and we plan to go in April or May of2010 right after baby turns 2! That's when we took our son for his first trip this past January and it was wonderful!! It seems like a VERY long time to wait, but it will go by so fast!

Have fun planning. We also just decided on the date of our next trip - November of 2009. It might be almost 2 years down the road but it's something to look forward to. I had stopped coming on the DisBoards because it was depressing not knowing when I would be back but now I'm excited again already.
