Okay... I need some Dis Shutterbugs to give me their opinion on this camera

I enjoy photography, although not a professional by any definition of the term. Zoom is probably the most important since I like to take a lot of up-close detail pictures.

So I found this camera for under $300 and it sounded like a good deal. Yes? No?

It seems to have good reviews on the websites I've checked, but I'll take a Dis'rs word over them

I am also interested in hearing opinions on this camera. I have a Kodak DX6440 but I am looking to upgrade to a camera with more zoom.

I have this camera and I love it!! We took it to Disney in July and the zoom works excellent. The pictures are clear and vibrant and I also have the printer dock and it is so easy to put the pics on the computer. I had the Kodak 7440 before that and I also liked that camera but the zoom is much better on this one.
