Yay For Me!!!

I is employed nao!!!

I officially am hired for a job as a busser at one of the restaurants at a local ski resort.

I will make $6.50/hr plus splitting tips with the waitress and bartender.

Included in my hiring is a free employee season ski pass (which in and of itself is worth $779), 50% off of all food I buy (for myself) at the cafeteria regardless of whether I'm working or there on my days off, and 20% off of all merch at the resort store.

Yeah. I got an awesome job.

The restaurant is fairly small (30 tables and 20 seats at the bar). There's one waitress and one bartender and one chef and me. It's a great place for me to start working. As this is my first job, it's nice to know I won't be working at a super gigantic place with 60 or 70 tables and 8 or 9 waitresses to get to know.

I'm excited.

Oh, and did I mention that I'm only scheduled to work 2 days a week right now? Saturday and Sunday 11-4 (open to close), yet I still get all those awesome aforementioned benefits? So it's only about 65 bucks a week. Meh. I'm in high school. I don't need much more than that.

Yeah. Awesome job with a capital A.

I snowboard, but I do love to get out and hit the mountain as much as possible. Which, due to financial issues the last few years has meant I only get out once or twice a season.

Now, I can go as often as I want without paying a cent! I'm stoked.

I know a few kids who caddy near where I live. They love it. Of course, they're big golfers and the fact that they get access to the course as often as they want is a huge plus for them. A lot of the places around here have perks like that.

That's so cool.
I get no benefits at work. I get a 10% discount, but only on Wednesday, which is the SAME discount as the student/senior discount.

I need a better job.

I love to Ski. That would be a great job. The ski pass is a great perk.
