Yavn is probably sitting daily at his (sorry for saying her.. mind boggling mistake) desk doing his work. Viewing all the threads that are about him and not even giving a hoot, because the threads are unnecessary. Yavn doesnt have to give us an update- Thats a privelege for us when he does. Personally I'm glad that he hasnt updated the "Yavn Speaks" section, and I hope he doesnt for a long time with everyone complaining.. We probably dont deserve an update.

Woots to Yavn for not updating. Hopefully when people learn patience then you can update- Sounds good to me. Until then enjoy the break and keep doing your job with the game.


- Also.. People keep saying that yavn has ditched us or left. That is FALSE. Just because he didnt update doesnt mean he is gone. He's been in the game numerous times since he's done an update. Give him a break. When he wants to update and has something to update about.. He will.

Didn't yavn say he was going to see the Disney parks in Asia? He did say he was going to go eventually... He probably left on his trip for all we know and didn't tell anyone except the people at the VMK office, mostlikely.

But for sure - He was not kicked off or replaced from the VMK Team. If that was to happen, we probably wouldn't be able to sa yavn anymore.

I'm sure with so many people upset about DLR quest central closing that he received a lot of complaint letters (to put it nicely) He probably feels he has the weight of the world on his shoulders as he can't seem to please "all of the people, all of the time". He always seems to be in a "damned if he does and damned if he doesn't" type of situation ... who can live that way? He and his team deserve a lot more respect than they get. I'm tired of the Yavn bashing already, and I'm only 3 months into the game

I couldnt tell if you were refering to me as Yavn bashing.. or if you were agreeing with what I said, but I was not bashing yavn- I was giving him a Woot for not updating. Right now I dont think the VMK public deserves another update as they keep complaining. I think that Aengus needs to give the Woot Of The Month to yavn and the team.

Just my 2 cents but I don't see much bashing on them going on. I can understand wanting to know what is going on in the game and why things haven't been updated in like a month when that isn't the norm. I'm sure a few here and there say stuff that is considered a bash but really I see ALOT of people that make comments about him and the staff that are complete opposite of bashing when they haven't really deserved it IMO or that we just don't know the whole truth of what was going on and yet they try to say it is someone else's doing when more then likely it wasn't. If there was a change in staff we would have heard a long time ago about it happening so I kind of doubt Yavn is gone from his spot. I have no issues with staff myself. Never have had problems with them at all but then I usually go about my own business and don't bug them when I see them.

Yavn bashing is just too much fun to give up

On a more serious note, I think Yavn doesn't exactly deserve any props (or whatever new hiphop culture word has replaced "props" in the last 5 minutes). This is his job, and he shouldn't be taking 3-4 weeks vacation from it without an excuse.

No I most certainly wasn't talking about you! Not talking about anyone in particular ... maybe bashing was to harsh a word ... I'll call it Yavn Whining ..

Isn't he a MMO gamer himself? Even if not just being in the job he has with dealing with a game like this he should know that you have to really give some update at some point in time. Things happen, things change so it needs to be made aware. He has always given updates each month about whatever the theme was for the month. This time it wasn't there. Which I know things happen but being in the whole MMO (and anyone else who is knows this as well), if you don't say something sooner or later your "customers" get to the point of being unhappy about alot of things. They start feeling out of the loop of things and can start wondering about the game and its future at times. Since things are different each month with the theme in VMK its always been nice to see that little update about things for the month or new games to get items for VMK codes. But we have been left in the cold for to long IMO. We have had no clue about the middle piece for the subs (if this has changed I missed it so sorry), nothing in the update about the Nemo game to get sub pieces, nothing about the theme for the month or the one coming up here soon. If there is a problem that is fine cause things happen in life but there are others working that can update for him as well. But you really should never leave the people hanging in an online game (free or not) for to long.

If Yavn really is on vacation (which I wouldn't blame him for one bit. Everyone needs a vacation sometimes), I wish at least one of the other staff members would just write a little blurb in the Yavn Speaks column that says "Yavn will be back soon." Or something similar. Had the last edition of Yavn Speaks not been so disappointing, it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but because that's the last we've heard from Yavn, too many people are worrying.

Can anyone from the VMK staff just PLEASE assure us that the state of the game is okay? Or if it's not, at least be honest with us and say so.
