Yatch Club Rooms

My wife and I are staying at the Yatch Club for the first time. We usually stay at the Caribbean Beach. We have talked about staying at the YC and finally are doing it.

My question is what rooms should we request? We have read about some of the rooms being far away from the elevators. Can someone offer some advice?

Fabulous resort - had a wonderful Christmas stay here. Yes, our room was a bit of a walk, but nothing bad. The carpet is lush and there are all kinds of gardens to look down at. There is also a back elevator that was right down the hall from our room. And, we were very close to the boat dock and the bridge to the Boardwalk. We booked a standard room but asked for an upgrade at checkin and got an Epcot waterview. WOW! Spectacular watching Illuminations from our balcony. Our best resort yet - seriously!

We too were a bit of a hike from the main elevator, but not far from the other elevator. We had a lagoon view that was out of this world. Our location was very quiet, we usually took the stairs. Found it MUCH faster than the elevators. No matter where your room is, you will really enjoy this resort!

Love this resort as you can see from my sign-on. We had a great location on concierge floor just down from the lounge and not far from the elevators, room 5183. It was just above the back entrance to YC and looked out on Crescent Lake and across to the Boardwalk. I love this resort! The full size balcony is a wonderful addition to the room. So relaxing after a day in the park.

what category room do you have booked?? standard, water, concierge..?
if you have standard .. then request "lake side of resort" to better your chances of not having parking lot view, there are plenty of standard rooms facing the gardens and courtyards, lovely views in fact!

if you have "water view" request "lake view" because you could end up with quiet pool view.

lake view cocnierge, is awesome, guaranteed lake view so you'll be okay there!

Thanks for all the great posts. We have a standard view booked. Yes, I meant Yacht Club. That is what I get for not double checking my spelling.

We had a standard room booked also and requested garden view/lake side. They wonderfully upgraded us to lake view. Here is a link to our patio picture. You can also browse some other views from our room. It was really wonderful. We loved being on the first floor in that particular location. We could watch Illuminations from our patio.

If you have a water view room booked, request a room with a view of Crescent Lake and Stormalong Bay. In my opinion, rooms 4205 and 4203 are THE BEST! They have great views, especially if you love to people-watch. You can even see the Epcot fireworks!!
