55% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category. I don't get it.... :confused3 55% is barely into the Dixie category but I'm here nonetheless, I guess that's why I had to move down here from the North!

73% (Dixie)

My only complaint is for the question re "that long sandwich with lots of cold cuts and toppings". I don't say any of the options...everyone knows that it's called a "po boy". ;)
LOL, that question stumped me too. I firmly believe if poboy had been one of the answers I would have scored 100%. My friends in college thought I sounded so southern they called me Ellie Mae Hoodgiepucker.
My score: 89% (Dixie). Did you have any Confederate ancestors?

Only 95% Dixie.

My brother is right; I'm starting to put on airs.

When did I git above my raisin' ?

Good point on the Po' Boy, and we often pronounce "aunt" as "aint" :)

Whoa.... 55% Dixie?

I swear I was born and raised in Delaware, and still live here. And *every* time I take these Yankee/Dixie type tests...I get a different answer! :rotfl:

Then again I don't think of my state as truly yankee or truly dixie, it's kinda in the middle....like Maryland.

44% Yankee, which is kind of odd considering none of my responses mentioned the South, and 3/4 of them are from the northeast :confused3

Almost all of my answers came up as "heavy Great Lakes" usage, which is where I live. None were "southeastern" usage. Yet I was a 45% Yankee. I'm guess "Yankee" in this means Northeast U.S. as opposed to simply "not Dixie", if you know what I mean.

I also think I would have been higher if for the drive thru liquor store they didn't lump together "never heard of this" and "don't use any of the below" together. I've seen to drive thru liquor stores and have actually used them...I just always called them "drive thru liquor stores." Their titles are much better, though!

57% Dixie. :earseek: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's too funny considering where I am from.

Myst

47% yankee - barely a yankee. Strange - born, raised and always lived in northern NJ :confused3 . By the way, what is that bug that rolls in a ball? I never heard of any of those names!

Hey, maybe you're southern at heart. We welcome you with open arms!!

Why thank you! :flower: :grouphug: What's even more funny is I'll be moving to NYC i the next few months. :rotfl2:

Myst

Yep...it's a potato bug...Even says so in "Dave the Barbarian" on the Disney channel :teeth:

I'm 78% Dixie. Blast my California mother or I would be a 100% pure :earboy2: Some of those things I had never heard of like the drive through liquor store. We'll have to start a new thread about things that you do that are southern versus northern. My example is: Yes, I am from the South and yes I have been cowtipping..lol

41% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. :cool1:
