Yankee Candles

I spent $45 in the Yankee Candle store today.


I love the Green Grass and Juicy Grapefruit ! Wow, they really smell like those things!

The store said there is an Orange Peel, but it was not in. Does anyone have that one, and does it really smell like oranges?

I haven't smelled the orange peel or the green grass. Guess I'll have to make a run to the yankee Candle store soon. I just love that place.

I love them too, but the last box of tealights I got was defective. None of them burned more than halfway before they died. I've never had this problem before.

I love Yankee Candle, too. I like either the melon, the tulips, or the ocean ones for the warmer months, and Home Sweet Home for the Autumn/Winter months.

Has anyone smelled the Hot Buttered Rum candle? I'm thinking that might be a good scent for those long, cold, winter days and nights. Hopefully it smells as good as it sounds!

Green Grass is one of my favorite scents, but only in the summer!

Right now I am burning Autumn Lodge and love it! Next week I will start burning the Pumpkin Pie or Spiced Pumpkin ones!

SeaSpray, I haven't smelled that one yet, it sounds good though!!

SeaSpray, I haven't smelled that one yet, it sounds good though!!

I have to stay away from the "grass" scents and many of the floral scents because of allergies. But so far, all the "food" candles have been ok!

Beanie: I am burning Pumpkin Pie right now, I love it! I also like Harvest. I am bummed that they no longer have the Gingerbreak Cookie scent. I LOVED that one!

SeaSpray, Harvest is my all time favorite Yankee scent!! I just bought the big jar of it, but haven't burned it yet.

Has anyone here tried the Trick or Treat candles that they have for Halloween? Do they really smell like Candy Corn? I heard that was what the scent was but haven't tried any yet.

Yes, Trick or Treat smells like candy corn (very sweet and sugary).

I got my catalog and saw Hot Buttered Rum. Chris is taking me to a YC store this weekend. It's been a while since I've been able to stock up, and my candle burning season has begun.... I love cooler weather and candles...

Update on Hot Buttered Rum!

DH and I went out to dinner tonight then we stopped into a local gift shop that sells YCs. They a lot of the new scents, including Hot Buttered Rum. It smells GREAT and I'm burning it right now

I also picked up another Pumpkin Pie while they're still on sale. And yes, Trick or Treat smells just like candy corn. lol

I definitely will have to go to the YC store today and see if they have the Hot Buttered Rum~

I am not sure if I would like the Candy Corn smell...might be too sweet for me and I am not a big candy corn person anyway!

Seaspray, glad your DH liked Autumn Lodge...I actually discovered it by accident when another DIS'er sent it to me because she said she didn't like the smell!

They just opened up a YC store in our town. This is dangerous for me--I usually buy YCs at Linen's and Things, since they often send out 20% off one-item coupons and YCs are no longer on the restricted items list.
I tend to buy one or two and not buy anymore until one is gone. I used up one this summer that was "Fresh linen", I think; it smelled like a dryer sheet. Right now I have roses upstairs and "Mom's apple pie" in the kitchen. I also have an evergreen one (they have 2 or 3 that all smell the same) in the bathroom.
I like the cookie type ones that come out for the holidays. But honestly, every now and then I smell one and want to hurl. The licorice one last year was gross!
The store has "swirl" candles which I find intriguing. I want to get one soon.
