My wife and I have our 15th anniversary coming up this weekend. I know how much she loves Yankee Candle so I was thinking of driving her up there and then spending the night nearby.

Can anyone suggest a nice hotel that is near there that we could stay at?

We are coming up from the Hudson Valley and be nice to just crash up there and have dinner and sleep in late the next morning.

Thanks

Oh just saw there are two. We are looking at the one up in the Northeast in MA

For a special occasion (like a 15th anniversary!) i'd stay at the Deerfield Inn
http://deerfieldinn.com/. I've never stayed there, but it's beautiful and located in Historic Deerfield - maybe 10 minutes from Yankee Candle. I would also recommend the restaurant at Yankee Candle, Chandler's Tavern.

Oct 15th is predicted to be the height of our fall colors, so not sure what availability will be. It's a gorgeous area and Yankee Candle is incredible!

Unfortunately, many places in our area are probably booked due to peak leaf-peeping dates. Try Deerfield, Greenfield, Northampton and Hadley MA or maybe delay your celebration by a week or two. Hope you find something!

I second Chandlers!! Wonderful food & atmosphere.

There is a Red Roof Inn by by Yankee, but I'm sure that's sold out. We once stayed at a great Marriott about 15 min. away (east) but I can't remember the name. If I can think of it I'll report back!

There's a new Hampton Inn right in Greenfield - right off Rt. 91 rotary. There's a 99 Restaurant/Friendley's/McDonald's right there. It's about 5 miles south to Deerfield. If you're up this way, bring your wife to the new Kringle Candle store in Bernardston about 5 miles north of Greenfield. It has its grand opening this coming weekend. This store is the "baby" of Michael Kittredge's(original owner of Yankee Candle)20 yo DS and is absolutely beautiful!

There's also a Quality Inn right off the rotary in Greenfield, too. Not as nice as the brand new Hampton Inn. It used to be a HoJo's way back. There's an Applebee's right beside that.

Route 5 would be the route to take to enjoy the scenery, although the stretch of Rt. 91 between Greenfield and Deerfield is usually some of the best color.
