Yankee Candle fans.. I need your input!

Hey Yankee Candle fans.. I have a question for you!

In my store we are just about sold out of our January FOM (Fragrance of the Month)- French Vanilla (Yeah I know January starts tomorrow but our Jan FOM started on 12/26)

I need to pick a substitute fragrance until our Feb frangrance - Fresh Cut Roses, kicks in on the 19th

What would you be happy to see as an FOM for 25% off?

That's a hard choice for me but I would say MacIntosh or as someone's already said Blueberry Muffin.

Buttercream is nice, but Mc Intosh is my absoluete favorite

Vanilla Cookie might be nice since it's similar to French Vanilla. Buttercream is a good substitute also.

You also have Apple Cider for a spicier version of apple (isn't Machintosh offered in September?). Key Lime Pie is nice and refreshing. How about the new Caramel Pecan. It's nice and warm for January.

We could go about this practically... at an inventory standpoint, which one do you have the most of?

Which part of your inventory has been in the store the longest? (shelflife!)

Which candle has had the most "sluggish" sales?

You could do a jumpsteart your love thing as a tie in for February, and pull all the red ones on sale? (or select red ones!)

Do you have the Heart and Flowers scent? That would be good. Or Home Sweet Home?

I know how YC likes to put the season with the candle on sale...

Or you could do a white sale type thing and put clean cotton on sale?

Blueberry Muffin because it is never a candle of the month.

McIntosh is always Sept's FotM.

And the stores are having a big sale until the 2nd......lots on sale. Some 50% off!!
I posted the long list in the Yaya Spa if anyone wants the whole list of them.

Do stores that sell Yankee candles get to choose which one to be the "candle of the month?"

DH stopped at the Hallmark shop and got me a Clean Cotton candle (and hand soap too) and he told her that was my favorite scent, and she told him that it was going to be the "candle of the month" for January.

I plan to buy a couple more of the large jar candles and more votives!!!

I wish Yankee would sell those "soot stopper" things you set on top of the jar while it's burning though. I bought one at a store here in town and it works wonderfully, no black soot inside the jar at all!!! I looked at the Yankee web site and they don't have them there either. I wonder why.

An employee from Yankee candle did a presentation for us and included a little bit about the soot stoppers. Yankee won't manufacture or sell the toppers because it makes a noticeable difference in the amount of frangrance that you smell when the candle is burning. The larger the open wax pool, the better the fragrance. If there is just a small opening over top of the flame the fragrance is burned off as it escapes from the topper. In a small room it might not be bad but if you use it in a big room you might notice a difference - plus it depends on the scent.

Pineapple & Jasmine is wonderful, especially for taking the winter blues away! It's one of my new favorite scents! I just can't get enough of it!

Another vote for Clean Cotton---one of my all time favorites and I was wondering if that would be the January choice, since it's white and is so fresh smelling...I don't go to the actual Yankee Candle Store often enough to find out what their scent of the month is
