Yankee Cadle Question....Have you bought these?

I got one of these for Christmas,

Its the Crock and is very pretty. I haven't lit it yet but am really tempted too. Have you bought one and burned it? Does it smell as good as the tarts/candles? If you have burned it what did you do with the Crock afterwards?

I've looked at them but never purchased one. I believe there are a couple of different sizes. Is yours the one with three wicks? I think that is so it burns a little more easily.

You could use the crock to hold your wooden spoons once it is finished. Or spare change for WDW souvenirs.

I saw those when I was in the store in December also and wondered how they burned (if they burned well). Curious to know.

Yes its the one with three wicks. Its the large one with the Cardinals on it from Christmas. I just wonder how hard it is to get the candle out once it has burned. Its really pretty and is only a little more expensive than the regular large candle. If it burns good and smells nice it would be worth it to buy these so at least afterwards you have a nice decorative crock.

On the bottom should be instructions for burning. If I remember correctly, you should burn all three wicks at once, somewhere that there is not a draft, so it burns evenly. Make sure you trim the wicks to the same height each time before burning (about 1/4") and don't burn for longer than 2 hours, I believe. It should smell just as good as the others.

Once you get to the point where you want to get the leftover candle out, put the crock in the sink upside down and run hot water over the bottom and sides for several minutes. Take a frosting spatula (one of those real thin, metal ones) and slide it between the crock and the candle and it should pop right out in one piece. If it doesn't want to come out, run hot water over it again until it will pop out. Then you can hand wash it.

Take the leftover candle and cut into little pieces and use in your tart warmer (removing the wicks of course).

WoW! Sounds like your a pro at candles!! I would have never thought to cut the leftover into chunks for tarts, what a great idea! I'll let yall know how it turns out.

The Yankee Candle factory and flagship store is less than 30 minutes from my house. LOL I guess that makes me a pro at candles.

Another way to get candles and tarts out easily is to put them in the freezer upside down for 15 minutes and then they pop out easily with a knife if they don't just fall out on their own.

I had one of these, in the seaside holiday motif. Mine only had one wick though. The only thing I can say is only burn it for less than one hour per burning, because the inside becomes black faster than with the glass jars.

Jipsy, I love the idea of putting the wooden spoons inside. I just have mine in my bedroom, hadn't thought of something fun to do w/it yet. I think I'll steal your idea.
