Yam Patties

I bought some on impulse.
Does anyone have any good ways of preparing these??

Mix together some brown sugar and melted butter. Sprinkle some walnuts on top. Bake according to pkg. directions.

By yam patties, I am taking it you mean the pre-sliced, ready bake ones?

I use a pastry brush to "paint" the brown sugar/butter onto the yams.

Probably. If you have some mustard or turnip greens-they go great, together!

Yep ...sprinkle cinnamon and sugar (mixed together) on them. I ordered these for the students this year because we are short handed this year and it is easier to serve. The teachers will get regular sweet potato souffle'.

My grandma makes those. She puts Red Hots (the little cinnamon candies) and marshmallows on top and bakes them. They are pretty good.

put them in the oven with some butter and cinnamon and sugar and let them cook when they are finished put some marshmallows on them and stick them back in the oven just a second and they are done

I served them a couple of years ago also and most of the kids ate them. Of course this years bunch might be totally different!!!!!!!!
