My younger sister is having major surgery today. She's 45 and has type 1 diabetes. She's pretty scared and anxious. DSis has a serous anxiety disorder with depression, which is all controlled by meds. But she's concerned about how the experience might affect her.

She and her DH live in western WA and have no family closer than 2500 miles. I wanted to go out there to help her but I can't. So the next best thing is prayer & pixie dust. If you've got a minute...? thanks.

Thanks ya'll. DSis went through the surgery well. She had some difficulty waking up--they kept her in recovery for 4 hours. she called me an hour ago--she's in her room now, not having to use the pain pump much(but they haven't gotten her up yet--I predict her pain pump will be her best friend tonight!) I guess we'll have to wait to find out if there was anything "unusual" in there(you know what I mean...)
