After 6 months on disability I finally feel well enough to take a part time job. I've been a nurse for 32 years and I can no longer work in a hospital due the the extreme stress. So I've applied for a job doing pediatric home health. I don't know if it will be a good fit, but I have an interview tomorrow. I have about 13 years of experience in NICU/PICU, but I've been away from the bedside for 9 years. The company is willing to send me to a refresher course (trachs/vents/Gts.) I was once very comfortable with this stuff, but my skills are rusty.
So cross your fingers that I will ask all the right questions and know whether this is a good move for me.

It will be like riding a bicycle! It will all come back to you!
Good luck!
) so once you have the basics down (as you do) you are essentially learning new stuff all the time. It is great that they are offering you a refresher, that will really help to boost your confidence and get up up to date on current practices.
