Is the food at the TS Yak & Yeti similar to the counter service? My husband absolutely hated the counter service food but the TS looks pretty good.

I'm sure you'll get a variety of replies, but honestly we felt the opposite was true. We liked the counter--thought it was great for a CS meal and figured Y&Y would be that much better. We were not impressed. In fact, my DH's fish was downright bad. My honey chicken was ok--but tasted like it just came out of a cardboard box, which in reality it probably did! Still, we will stick to the CS from now on!

haven't eaten the CS because no vegetarian options, but we enjoyed the TS. hubby's lo mein was basic but good, and my mahi mahi was quite good. we had a nice waiter, and the decor is very nice inside and relaxing. i would eat here again.

We really liked it but we get the steak and shrimp with jasmine rice.

I just realized you are from Toledo, Ohio. I grew up there and now I live in Florida( closer to the mouse). My whole family still lives there though. Just thought it was interesting.

You are living our dream. Florida will be our retirement location and my son is moving there as soon as he graduates college. Think of us this winter while we fight the cold and snow.

We think the table service is awesome. I guess it depends on what you order. My husband absolutely loved the Crispy Mahi Mahi and I LOVED the ribs. This is one of, if not, our favorite WDW restaurant now.

I thought the CS and TS food was similar; the CS food is just dumbed down a bit (less variety, less ingredients) but it is cooked in the same kitchen.

We also did not care for either.

We were at Yak n Yeti yesterday. I loved the ribs and everything else tasted good as well. I didn't like the fried wontons, though, but I'm in the minority for that one because I see that a lot of people here loved them. Everyone was happy with their entrees and we would definitely go again.

I love the theming!
