Does anyone have any info on the new AK restaurant Yak & Yeti? We are going in November and I believe it will be open by then. I have also heard that the cuisine is Asian...I'm just wondering if there is any more specific info regarding their menu?

We loved Boma last year, but thinking about trying the new place instead. I would appreciate any info!! Thanks!

Hi Michele,

Nothing further...the cuisine will be "Pan-Asian" and they are not yet taking ADRs.

Walked by it a couple of days ago . . . it appears to still be in the early construction phase. They had some posters hanging up on the construction walls. I didn't get the impression the cuisine was Asian - but that would make sense since it is in "Asia". I was thinking it was more BBQ-ish. But that may just be a guess. I wish I could remember what was on those posters!

Thanks!

I'll be making my ADRs at the end of May, so I'll go with Boma unless they begin to accept ADRs by then...and just switch later (if I get a chance to see a menu!)

I just wanted to bump this thread. With Tusker House being closed for so long, I wonder if the Yak & Yeti will be open this summer?

Does anyone know? :confused3

Thanks!
Mary

Still no info. It's supposed to open this summer, but they are not taking ADRs yet.

When did Tusker House close? I was there in April. It's the one of the only large, sit down, grab a bit places . . . yikes!

Tusker House is set to close on August 20th. It will reopen as a TS buffet restaurant on November 17th. Donald's Safari character breakfast will be offered, and lunch and dinner will be buffet also, but with no characters. Donald's Breakfastosaurus in Dinoland will be discontinued as of November 5th- the characters will be appearing at TH instead. Restaurantosaurus will become an all-3-meals CS.

Hi this is my first post. Does anyone know if Yak and Yeti is offering CS meals or is it just TS. Thanks

Thanks everyone for replying.

We will be at WDW Aug. 31 to Sept 9th and hopefully spending two days at AK. Tusker House and Flame Tree are the only two CS places we would consider eating lunch.

If Tusker house is closed for three months and Yak & Yeti is not open yet.... Flame Tree will be a pretty busy place!!! :goodvibes

I think it is kinda weird that they are going to stay open for dinner when AK always closes at 5-5:30......

Would seem a bit weird leaving the restaraunt to a closed and deserted park but Animal Kingdom is open until 7:00 P.M. during most of the Summer and usually has one day a week they are open later for Extra Magic Hours.

...which leads many to speculate that AK may be expanding their hours- maybe even adding attractions or an evening parade- sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Flame tree is so goooood! Love those ribs. It's fun to feed cornbread to feed the ducks too!
