Yak & Yeti vs. Tusker House

Opinions please on which one we should go to for dinner at AK and reasons why you like one vs the other...

I should add that I picked those because of dining plan, those are the only 2 options for TS dinners. Will be me, DH35, DD10, DD9 and DD5. Also DD9 is VEEEEERY picky... would there be something at Y&Y for her(ie. cheese pizza, mac n cheese, pb and j, chix strips)?

Never been to Tusker House but we really liked Yak & Yeti. I know that TH is a buffet and YY is not. It's typical Asian food but the atmosphere in that restaurant is unbelievable!

I'm interested in what y'all think too! Those two choices were on our list as well but we sided with our other choice of Boma's for that night! I would love to hear about these two places too though!

We've never done TH either. But we did do Yak & Yeti this past September and it was the second best meal of our trip. The atmosphere/theme is amazing, the food was very good (and I don't normally eat this type of food...but went for my DH and I LOVED it). DH had the duck, I had the sweet and sour pork and our best friends had the shrimp and steak. Everyone loved their meals.

We did Tusker House 2 weeks ago and just loved it. We have never done Yak and Yeti but the buffet at TH was the best. We did lunch (at 2:00) and the timing was perfect. We were full for most of the day and just did a pizza for dinner. Everything was wonderful and desserts were the best. We are heading back in May and do not know which one to do. I would love TH again but thought we might want to try something different.

We did Tusker House for dinner in September and were not impressed. We liked Boma much better than TH.. Never been to Yak n Yeti but have read some good reviews lately.

We prefer Tusker House over Yak n Yeti (food wise).

We ate at Y&Y in December and it was one of the best meals of our trip. My non-adventurous 9 yr old found something to enjoy too - I don't remember what it was, but she ate it!

I thought Yak n Yeti was very good. I normally don't eat that type of food, but everyone loved their meals. I don't remember what we got my 2 year old, but they had "normal" choices on their kids menu and he ate just fine.

Does Tusker House or Y&Y take ADRs for park closing or right after the park closes? We don't want to miss anything at the park since it isn't open as long as the others. We'd like to avoid eating dinner while the park is open.

I guess if worst came to worst we could go eat at Boma after closing. I did love that place last time. Although we only had it for breakfast.

We had a 5PM ADR at Yak on a night the park closed at 5PM so we didn't miss any park time.

My daughter is very picky and didn't find anything she liked on the kids menu. We thought the chicken would be all right, but it was a weird little nugget and tasted different. I think it is the same chicken they use in their regular dishes.

We liked Yak and would do it again (despite DD), but we didn't LOVE it. This year we are going to try Boma. My picky daughter will find more selection at the kids station at Boma than on the Yak menu. We are doing Tusker for breakfast and have not tried the dinner.
