Yak & Yeti TS Lunch ?!?!?!

I booked a Yak & Yeti TS Lunch for DS18 and I....May 2010

Based on GREAT REVIEWS on the DIS!

Meanwhile...I've eaten at PF Changs a few times and I am seeing some similarities.....is that the case?

I know that Restaurants try to stay "up with the latest things"....

My Y&Y Review memories are to order LOTS of Appetizers ....since they are SO YUMMY !

Tempura Green Beans, Lettuce Wraps.....

Well those are Appys (that we enjoy) at PF Changs.....

I guess my question(s) are: (1) Is it a similar dining experience? IF so - I'll bring DS there (to PF Changs) to try a few other things before we go..... (2) What are YOUR Favorite APPY's and Entree choices? Other than the appy's I'm looking at the Beef & Broccoli...and steak choices... Plus the Tuna appy and the Salmon Entree.....

Its not exactly like PF Changs. You can share apps and of course share entrees but the entrees aren't meant to be shared, as in they aren't brought to the table like PFC or any chinese restaurant. They put the rice & your entree, which isn't as big as a chinese restaurant entree on your plate. Some are big portions like the ribs (not chinese restaurant ribs). Not all the menu items are like a chinese restaurant either. Its more chinese than not but I wouldn't exactly call it authentic chinese either.
We liked the eggs rolls & pot stickers a lot.

I like the appetizers at Y&Y beter than the entrees. We do lunch there each trip, but sit at the bar and order several appetizers..and of course a beer and a glass of wine!!

I agree. PF Changs is much better in my opinion. The lettuce wraps at Y&Y were a total disappointment as was DD's lo mien, DH's burger, DS chicken and my beef and broccoli. It was honestly the worst meal (yet best service) we had all week and is the only restaurant out of the 21 we ate at that DH put on our never again list.

I enjoyed Yak & Yeti, but as the other posters mentioned, it's not nearly as good as PF Changs. My biggest gripe was that it was about 40 degrees in there. Brrrr!

And I think the exact opposite. Perhaps it depends on where you first ate them? We were disappointed in PF Changs the one time we ate there. We had Mongolian Beef which was no where near as good as PeiWei (PF Chang's casual cafe) and cost twice as much! At Y&Y, I recommend the steak and shrimp, but not the beef and broccoli. Liked the Mahi mahi and ribs. My dd likes the honey chicken, although it's better at 9 Dragons.

I enjoy the green beans, prawn crisps, and the egg rolls. I've tried the dim sum basket - not a fan.

As for main dishes, the ribs are good, and so is the beef and broccoli. When I was there last December, they were trying out a kobe burger. I ordered it - deeelish!

We have had lunch there our past 2 trips and we'll be back again in May. I enjoyed the Pho.
