I set my alarm and waited faithfully for the stroke of the hour when I was told wdw-dine would start accepting reservations for Yak and Yeti only to find that they have been taking reservations since the 28th and that the closest I could get to my desired reservation time was 3 hours earier. I am afraid that activity like this only encourages guests to hound the reservation phone lines in hopes (or fears) that they will change thier mind and all the good spots will be taken. What if everyone checked every month for 6 months to see if they changed thier mind about the 180 advance reservation policy?

Fear not. This will not diminish my enjoyment and if by my posting I can help someone else get what they are looking for I will be doubly happy.

The sad thing is that I BET that very bit of information (reservations being taken) is on this very forum, if only I had time to read the millions of posts.

I called on the dot 12/3 to make an ADR only to find out the latest *dinner* was 4:30. With a group of 9 and being about a month away from our trip did not make me too happy. I sure wish WDW had mentioned the early closing in the winter. It makes sense since the park closes so early but it caused me some serious heartache.

I called on Dec. 3rd to see if they has anything for our dates. Initally they were taking booking from 12/5 onward and only walk ups were allowed. I just thought what the hey and called to see if I could get them since they were taking them for late Dec.

Surprised that I was able to get them so easy. :woohoo: There is a thread in the Resturant board that they were booked solid from 01/05/08-01/12/08.

i called Dec. 3 and got our desired time for Jan. 2nd. Then called back yesterday and got exactly what we wanted for March 12th. For both dates they had multiple times available. We will be parties of 5 and 7 respectively and had no problems.
