I have an ADR for Y&Y for our AK day but I am wondering if I should keep it or go for Sanaa. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yak and Yeti is a lot more convenient but for us, my entire family would say they preferred the food at Saana over that at Yak.

I could have written the above almost word for word. Y&Y is okay and it is convenient if you are at AK. I like the mixed drinks. But I much prefer the food at Sanaa.

We are doing Sanaa on our AK day. I plan on getting to AK about an hour or so after RD, and staying there till about 4pm. We have dinner reservations at 5pm.

So in answer to your question - Neither. I would do dinner at Sanaa.

I like Y&Y and I love Sanaa, but would choose Y&Y for the convenience. I think the rest of my family would vote for Y&Y based on both menu and convenience, but that's because we have some picky eaters! :) I like the idea of lunch at Y&Y and dinner at Sanaa or Jiko!

if I were going to be at AK for the day i would not go to Sanaa for lunch simply because of the logistics of leaving a park and all the time that takes! you could easily loose 3 hours of park time worst case and 2 at the very least....Save Sanaa for a dinner ADR!!

We are not fans of Yak and Yeti...I wanted to be! The three entrees we had we only enjoyed one, the Duck and it was yummy! But I wouldn't go back! Service was slow also. I agree with the last post, I would save Sanaa for dinner, too much travel time. My son loves Flame Tree Barbecue for lunch in AK, yummy pork sandwich. Then we have a sit down dinner at one of the hotels.

I've not eaten at Sanaa before but love the Yak and Yeti, their ribs are some of the best on site. I will be going back next year. Cant wait !

I really like both, but I love Sanaa more.

However, If you would have to leave AK and go back, then I would just stick with Yak n Yeti for convenience.

If I had to pick a TS restaurant to eat at in AK I would pick Y&Y, but the truth is my family has been disappointed with the meals there. We try to avoid eating any TS meals at the AK. If we are on a meal plan we wait until we leave the park.

And we love Sanaa. Though as others have said here, we would not travel back/forth from the AK for lunch.

Whereas we thought Yak&Yeti (TS) was one of the best meals - possibly the very best meal - of our last trip. DH had duck, I had the maple tamarind chicken, and then we both swooned over the fried wonton dessert.

We arrived in time for rope drop and did grab a mid-morning bakery snack, then had lunch close to 2 pm. By then we needed to sit and cool off. Afterwards we were fine to go for several more hours.

I agree with everyone else. We really enjoyed our meal at Sanaa but Y&Y is more convinient. Since we take the parks easy we usually go to Sanaa for the better food

1st time at Yak and Yeti we loved it!

2nd time at Yak and Yeti we thought it was good, but not great.

For conveinence go to Yak and Yeti, if you have a little extra time go to Sanaa.
