Yak & Yeti or Jiko?

That all depends. Yak and Yeti has pretty good food, in the park, lot's of families dining.

Jiko, in the AKL resort, family dining also. We do take our granddaughters to the signature restaurants. The understanding is, if one of them acts up, either my son or daughter-in-law will leave the table with them. We never allow them to disturb other diners. We usually don't have a problem with the girls, as they are pretty well behaved and quiet anyway.

Jiko will definately be the better meal, adults would enjoy it better.

I would go to Yak & Yeti with your kids. Our DD12 and DS8 both loved Yak & Yeti on our trip in January. Try the fried green bean appetizer. Our kids LOVED it! It's a great way to get the kids to eat their veggies while on vacation.

DH and I ate at Jiko without them and thought it was a good place to go without the kids. We had so much food that we brought leftovers back to our room afterward and the kids did enjoy them. Actually, I never did see the rest of my steak because DD wolfed it down as soon as we walked in the door, even though we had fed them before we left.

From my experience, kids would enjoy the food at either place, but the atmosphere at Yak & Yeti is better overall for kids. ::MinnieMo

Yep...after more research and the advice here - we have settled w/Yak & Yeti. :thumbsup2

I am glad to see that you chose Yak & Yeti. It is by far the more family orientated restaurant. Jiko is a Signature Restaurant and it is adult themed. When we were there in October we did not see a child in the entire restaurant. We had a quiet, romantic, delicious dinner.
I think you will be happy with your decision.

I highly recommend Yak & Yeti as well! My daughter and I ate there in February and were extremely pleased with the food and service, the best we had on our trip. I agree with missminniemouse on selecting the wok-fried green beans as an appetizer, they were very good.
