What all comes with your meal at the counter service of Yak & Yeti? I hear rave reviews about the honey chicken, what sides come with it? Also, is it open all year long or just seasonally?

I don't recall anything comes with the "entree" choices -- they come in a quart sized Chinese take out container, with rice in the container. You can purchase egg rolls or fried rice separately.

Somewhere on the boards there must be some pix.

I find the honey chicken too sweet, but I have friends that love it. I liked the chicken fried rice and kung po beef.

Open year round.

We love Y&Y, nice sized prtions big enough to share-

There is limited seating with cover, but we like to take ours down by the water, or clear back behind the restarant, nice tables and trees there.

This might not be the overall opinion but we would rather eat the counter serv then inside the restaurant itself. Its basically the same thing. We love love love the Honey Chicken. We usually get one serving and share it. It is enough for us to a light lunch and keep moving. You wont be disappointed IMO.

I like this CS very much. What ever dish I've gotten it come with jasmati rice Yummy!

Here is my opinion from last Oct I put on All Ears.

"2 adults ate lunch (10-26). I ordered the Honey Chicken rice--I was surprised by how much chicken they gave me! I wasn't fond of the honey sauce so I wouldn't order it again, but that is not their fault. I would have rather had the chicken fried rice, but I didn't see that until after I ordered (note: read entire menu before ordering!). It was very filling though & I wasn't hungry for hours. Other adult ordered the Mandarin Chicken Salad which they liked & said was good. It looked like a good sized portion."

I forgot to mention that seating was quite crowded. The white rice comes in the container so easy to carry & eat elsewhere. It was a decent place, different than the usual food offerings & I really had plenty to eat (we had lunch there with ADRs at Biergarten that night).

We liked it. But like other PP said the chicken sauce was to swet for me. If we eat there this trip I will get the fried rice and egg roll. But I'm not a fan of chinesse food with sauces on it except terriaki.

I liked it a good bit. The portions were HUGE; my gf and I are both "big eaters" and later wished we had gotten one order and split it.

DH & I both really enjoyed the Y&Y quick service. I got the honey chicken and loved it. I did not find it too sweet. The portion was really big and I only finished 1/2. DH ate his beef meal and then finished the other 1/2 of mine. He liked it too. :)

As pp's said, the seating area can be very crowded. We actually saw quite a few people eating packed lunches so that took table space away from those of us that had purchased from Y&Y.

My DH and I ate here in 2008. Though I can't exactly remember what we ordered I do remember that we both enjoyed our food.

The best part is to go around the corner and order a Yak Attack!!! Can't wait for that again!! It was delicious. :worship:

We ate at Yak and Yeti last June and really weren't too impressed with the food itself. I am kind of weird about Chinese food though!;)
My husband made the comment he wasn't sure if he was eating the Yak or the Yeti LOL

My kids loved it however and there was more than plenty to go around our crew. I think we only ordered 4 meals and shared them between 8 of us, so its a good value as far as that goes. I found the quality mediocre, but then again, its Disney fast food! The seating wasn't bad, it was outdoors and wasn't very crowded, the choices are kind of limited at AK though. Have a great time.

What is a Yak Attack??

Never mind - I googled it. And oh my goodness, that looks great! I'll have to order that with the honey chicken! So glad you mentioned it! And the fried wontons for desert! Do they serve that at the Yak & Yeti CS station?

I'm looking forward to the honey chicken. I wanted to eat there last year but we had to leave AK before lunch.
