Yak n Yeti or Flame Tree?

YOu know, I like both plus Pizzafari (sandwich & salad). AK is a win win place for CS.

I say both! Flame Tree is counter service, Y&Y is both TS and CS..I dined at both places, both were excellent.:thumbsup2

We ate at Flame Tree in Oct and really enjoyed it. It was a very hot day, but the shaded seating was very nice and relaxing, and ducks were everywhere trying to pilfer fallen food.

I've eaten at Flame Tree every trip to WDW since AK opened and in December, we ate there twice. It ain't hunger that makes those ribs great.

We prefer Flame Tree BBQ over Yak And Yeti CS, but we have eaten at both locations on our past two vacations. It really depends on the type of meal you're looking for, but I always feel that the Yak And Yeti CS food is not as good as what is available at my local Chinese restaurant.

I like both, but no one likes the beans at Flame Tree so we have to pay oop for extra sides. Y+Y has big portions enough to share, and you can use a snack credit for their yummy eggrolls. I would go for whatever you feel like eating that day, you won't have bad food at either.

Another vote for Y & Y, here! We tried Flame Tree BBQ in October and neither of us were impressed. We both ordered different items but had the same problem - the meat was VERY dry.

We REALLY like Y & Y (both the TS and the QS), BUT you could technically let everyone get whatever they want. We actually found some nice tables in the shade along a hidden path, not far from Y & Y, there are also tables outside of Y & Y although there is NO shade, and there are tables on the water just past Mr. Kamal's (I believe) where the whole deck is covered. Those who want Flame Tree could go and get their food and then just meet the rest of the family at a designated spot.

So tell me more. Where is the hidden path with the shaded tables? :goodvibes

We are partial to Flame Tree. Bar-be-qued food was delicious and we found a shady area to sit, eat, relax. Was not impressed with Yak n Yeti although some people really liked the food and service. Have to been to Tusker House? Loved the character breakfast. We also did the lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. There is also Rain Forest Cafe.

The last few years, every meal I get from Flame Tree is dry. Blech. It used to be so yummy, but I've had no luck for quite a while. So I gave up on it.

I don't care for Asian food, so I skip the Yak.

I used to love Tusker House...it was so nice and quiet and peaceful. But now it is noisy and boisterous and grates on my nerves.

I no longer eat in AK...but I'm so not opposed to offsite eating.

If I had to eat in AK, I guess I'd go to Tusker House.
