My dh insisted we try something other than Tusker House so I made an adr for here.

What is the spiciest thing on the menu, My dh loves hot and spicy food.

Also what is really mild and more bland (that would be me)

What are your favorites.

I really dont know if we are going to like it here. Dh travels to China regularly for business so he is used to "real" asian food and we have a great place around here that cooks to his specifications (spicy level) etc. So should I keep this adr?

We dined here for the first time last month and although we enjoyed it very much and would go back again, I am not sure it will be up to DH taste's or expectations.

My husband LOVES hot food. He actually puts habenero peppers in his omlette everyday. He asked for the hottest sauce they had and it said it wasn't even hot. Although he had the tuna appetizer and did enjoy that. DH husband also enjoys thai food very much and he didn't think the menu was up to par with some of the thai places he has been to.

For you there are some standard variations of "american" chinese. We had the lettuce wraps and the veggies in them were very tasty. My son had the salmon and said it was good but not excellent. DD and I split orange chicken or something of the sort that was also good, but not great.

Our server was amazing, which really added to the experience. The cocktails were outstanding. My husband is a bit of a beer snob and he had the best beer he had all vacation while he was there. I also had a great frozen drink.

Overall we really liked the experience, but not sure if it is what you are looking for.

He can ask for sriracha. That will help up the spiciness of whatever he orders. Make sure you ask for it specifically.

He's not going to get anything that compares to actual Asian food he can get in Asia though.

I agree with PP. My family and I love spicy food and we simply asked for sriracha. We went to Yak and Yeti for the first time in June and it was a great lunch. The food was great! My kids absolutely LOVED the rice. They would not let it go and said that it was the best rice they ever had. I had to try it at this point and indeed they were right whatever they do to it it tastes delicious. The lettuce wraps were a fun app and the salmon was a GREAT entree. Definitely worth going to.
