Eating here for the first time in January. Has anyone had the ribs here? How are they? Also, what about the rest of the food any suggestions.

I haven't had the ribs, but we really enjoy the sweet & sour chicken, and the beef & broccoli dish. For a drink I recommend the Yak Attack.

....dont remember what we ordered, but we enjoyed everything we had hear (family of 5). Good choice. Enjoy!

Yes, we have done the Fred Flintstone platter of ribs. My husband ordered it and I honestly think 4 adults could have easily shared it; there was so much food on that platter. In fact, all portions on appetizers, entrees and desserts were huge here both times we tried this place.

My husband thought the ribs were okay, I did not care for them as they were smothered in sauce and that's all you could taste. Many people here on various threads have said they loved them.

Everything at our lunch was delicious and we loved the restaurant decor. Great service and our waiter said if we wanted to come back for dinner, he would make sure we got in right away with no ADR.

First, I enjoyed the Safari Amber draft beer made special for AK by Anheuser-Busch. Appetizers - Lettuce Cups and seared Ahi Tuna was great. Couldn't eat it all. DW had sweet and sour chicken, I had Crispy Mahi Mahi -- both were out of this world good. For dessert, the fried wontons with skewered pinapple was delicious.

Though... I've read posts where people say to order something other than usual Chinese food e.g. sweet and sour chicken because the other dishes are more impressive.

We all loved Y&Y. DD (12) had the ribs and really enjoyed the them DD (15)had the Pho, DH had the Shrimp and steak and I had the Beef and Broccoli. We all really had a great time. The service and food were excellent. This restaurant will definitely be on our list for our next trip! :thumbsup2

We really liked the tuna appetizer and the crispy mahi-mahi entree. We loved Yak & Yeti and plan on returning.

We ate there in September of 2009.

It's one of the better restaurants at the Disney theme parks but...it's Chinese food in a fancy setting instead of a takeout kitchen (I think the takeout kitchen in NJ was better) and it's expensive (as are all things Disney).

The Y&Y ribs were one of my favorite meals in my whole 9 days in WDW this past April. It's a HUGE plate, don't expect to finish it all, and it's a good combination between Chinese bbq ribs (that you would get in a northeast chinese restaurant, it's not really chinese) and traditional US bbq ribs. Highly recommend.

The ribs are :faint: SO good! I don't like ribs at all but I ordered this on our Honeymoon last year because my husband couldn't decide between the ribs or the Crispy Mahi Mahi. I went with the ribs since I don't eat seafood of any kind. Since we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan I knew I would have plenty to eat and wasn't worried about leaving hungry. When the ribs came out they smelled so good that I had to give them a try. Boy was I glad I did! OMG! We went back a 2nd time we loved this place so much.

We are going to be there Saturday and I'm bummed that I may not be able to have my ribs because of my recently diagnosed Celiac Disease. :guilty:

Here are some of our pictures.

I included the Crispy Mahi Mahi since a few people mentioned it. My husband LOVED that dish. The white rice that I had with the ribs instead of the fried rice was very good.

I had the steak and shrimp dish, which was excellent! DH went with the duck, which he didn't love, and mostly picked at.

We're skipping Y&Y on our next trip, mostly because we wanted to eat at Flame Tree BBQ again.

Does anyone know if you can use the Y&Y gift cards at this restaurant? It's not a Disney owned one, right?

I've had the ribs at Yak & Yeti....they are delicious! I will definitely order them next time I am there. YUMMMM

I am a real rib guy and those look like they may be worth a try.

We didn't have the best dining experiences there, but the ribs do look really yummy. (Maybe our experience would have been better if we'd order that instead of the yucky chicken thing that we ordered.) The dim sum basket was yummy, but VERY (disappointingly) small. I do highly suggest their sparkling sake though; We got it at the bar during our Dec trip & it was bubbly and delicious.
