Yak and Yeti or Tusker House for Lunch?

Any thoughts on either Yak and Yeti or Tusker House for lunch? We are on the dining plan and I as thinking that one of these might be good break in the day since it is so hot at Animal Kingdom.

Personally we are HUGE fans of Tusker House, with you 3 young kids it might be a better options. Lots of different food choices, all of which are VERY GOOD. My DD's, now 10 and 8, have loved going to Tusker House, been every year for 6 straight.

and the African beers are ICE COLD.

It's a great break in the middle of the day.

we LOVE Tusker house lunch!! So much so that we are doing 2 days at AK this April and I have 1 ADR for Tusker House and 1 for Yak N Yeti...BUT I am SOOOOOO tempted to just switch it to Tusker 2x...

Never eaten at Tusker, *BUT* if you get reservations there for a certain time (?1pm-2pm or so?) then you get reserved seating for the NEMO show (free). So if you are planning to see NEMO, this would be an added bonus of going to Tusker House.

Tusker House is my absolute favorite restaurant in WDW! Last year I stupidly decided to forgo TH in order to try Boma since everyone here absolutely raves about Boma and refers to TH as Boma "lite"..... honestly? I didn't like Boma at all I wished I'd done Tusker again instead!

Tough choice, both are good, but if you are travelling with kids I think I would lean toward Tusker House. As PP said you can also get the benefit of reserved seating for Nemo if you eat during a certain time.

In December we ate at both. Had a breakfast at Tusker House, it was ok. Liked the characters. On another day we had lunch at Yak & Yeti. LOVED IT. I had skirt steak and shrimp, DD had the roast duck. Both were excellent. For dessert... cream cheese wontons on a skewer with pineapple, served with vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce. This is now one of our must do's. Have ADR for spring break and again in August.

We love Yak & Yeti!! We tried it back when it first opened and have been coming back ever since.

Y&Y is excellent! I would skip TH because I hear it is very similar to Boma and we didnt like that at all

Tusker House hands down...it is nothing like Boma, aside from that it is a buffet.

Tusker House is a great meal, and as a PP pointed out, a lunch reservation between 1pm and 1:45pm gets you priority seating at the 3:15 Finding Nemo show. Even without that perk, I'd do TH over Yak and Yeti. With the perk, it's an even easier decision.

Is one appreciably faster than the other?

I was thinking TH might be sonce it is buffet?
