Yak and Yeti or Tiffins?

We currently have reservations at Tiffins for the 1st viewing of Jungle book. After looking more closely at the menu and prices, I was wondering if I should change it to Yak and Yeti and just wing it for the JB? Tiffins does seem a bit pricey and doesn't have as many choices as Y&Y. Is one better than the other? TIA

Which menu appeals to you. Both restaurants get good reviews. It's what you prefer & can afford. We really like Yak & Yeti, but I am looking forward to trying Tiffins.

Actually they both look great to me, its my husband who is a bit more picky!:sad2: I can find something to eat anywhere I go and am happy. I was just wondering if there was a major difference in the food quality.

There should be a difference in food quality. Tiffins is billed as a signature restaurant, meaning it excels in quality of the food and the experience. Yak and Yeti is owned by Landry's (you know the people of Landry's seafood, Rainforest Grill, Bubba Gump Shrimp, and a bunch of others). I'm not saying that Yak and Yeti isn't a fine meal or that because a company is diversified, that it can't have great dining, but generally speaking a signature dining location should be better than anything else in the park. Yak and Yeti theming is incredibly well done and fits completely with the asia area in which it is located.

I agree there should be a quality difference between a "regular" restaurant ( Yak & Yeti) & Tiffins. But Landry's Restaurant Group includes many Signature level restaurants, such as Morton's Steakhouse and others. Simply equating a restaurant as a Landry's Restaurant and therefore lesser quality is not necessarily valid. I believe it goes back to which restaurant menu, at which price point, appeals to OP & her DH.

I def assumed that because it was billed as signature dining, the quality would be a bit better. And the prices at Tiffins are much higher. Sometimes that saying "you get what you pay for is true".

Yak and Yeti is very good. My daughter and hubby in particular really enjoyed it. That said, it has the feel of more casual dining.

I haven't been to Tiffin's yet - but have reservations - it does seem like more of a 'culinary' date-night experience. We're taking the kids to Simba's Clubhouse first!

The Tiffin's menu is not appealing to me at all - if I were to pick a signature restaurant, I'd go do V&A or the Yachtsman, or Narcoosees. If eating in the park, then I'd pick Y&Y over Tiffins.

Haven't tried Tiffins yet. I have eaten a few times at Y & Y and enjoyed the meals.
When I browsed the menu, I thought it was quite pricey.
If you are looking for a dining pkg for Jungle book, have you considered Tusker House?
They also offer the dining package for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Yes, the food quality is very different. Tiffins is a true signature and the food is excellent. We ate there the first weekend it opened and it is really outstanding. One of the best signatures on property, IMHO. I had the soup and the Wagyu beef entree and my DS8 wouldn't stop eating it. It was so good! Go to Nomads for a drink first!! Yes, there is a big price difference, but it was definitely worth it! If you aren't up for a signature meal, though, Y&Y is good, too. Just a very different experience.

This. Also Jiko or CG would be among my top choices. I consider myself to be a fairly adventurous eater, but still there's nothing at Tiffins that appeals to me.

I tend to agree, although I will find something I like at Tiffins. We wanted to stay in AK park and really didn't feel like taking a bus to go to dinner and return to the park, but maybe will consider it.

How do you book a tiffens reservation that is coordinated with jungle book or with the new light show that is coming
