Our ADR day is in 2 weeks-ish for our September trip. We are hoping to get ADR for Yak and Yeti, as late as possible to be able to walk through Pandora with its lights and glow as dark as possible, as we exit the park. Does anyone know the latest ADR they offer? I see on MDE it lists as closing at 6:50, so I assume that is the latest ADR.

I have done several trial days and never see ADR times for 6 or later pop up. One of the biggest downfalls of AK in September is that the park closes before it is dark.

Anyone tried the walk up wait list for dinner with any luck? I know if I get a Landrys card it is suppose to let you skip to the front of the line, but I would prefer an ADR to make sure they don’t close down the walk up.

Sorry, I may have bad news. The unfortunate glitch in your plan is that once the park closes, you won’t be able to enter Pandora on your way out. CMs at both entrances will gently guide you toward the park exit. So you’d need to visit Pandora before the Y&Y ADR. Or maybe plan to get food at Satu’li Canteen as late as possible and then linger there as long as they’ll let you. Sit outside the FoP exit and tell them you’re waiting for someone to finish their ride! Or get in the FoP or Navi standby line 5 minutes before park closure, ride, and walk slowly out afterwards.

A third option is you can get the Landry's card for a few dollars, then call Y&Y directly and make a reservation. Then you don't need to worry about the ADR - and they can tell you the latest times for a res.....

Oh no that would be a bummer. We have done this before when leaving Tusker House and walking over the bridge into Pandora, but this was pre-COVID.

We've also seen cast members look to shut off access at closing, especially on the Tusker House/Lion King entry path. But we've also found they allow a few minutes leeway around the other entrance, going by Tiffins. It may or may not work for you on a particular night, depending on who's monitoring. But it sure is beautiful at night! If it were us, we'd look to get out of dinner at Y&Y 15-20 minutes before closing to give enough time to walk over and through.

Yes, I could see maybe slipping in that back way from Tusker House, but I’m not sure you could get from Y&Y to that bridge after the park is actually closed. I agree that you need to plan to enter Pandora before park closing time.

Why do you need Landry's Select do make a direct reservation? I thought anyone could do that?

You don't require a Landry's card to make a reservation. But if you have a Landry's card, you can make reservations at the Landry's restaurants (like Y&Y) outside of the normal Disney ADRs. If you're a Landry's member, you can get reservation privileges and walk-up privileges at Y&Y. That's all I was saying.......

I guess that is what I am asking. I didn't think you needed the Landry's card to make reservations outside the ADR system. I thought anyone could do that? I do understand the walk up priority seating with the Landry's card, but I thought everyone could use their direct reservation system outside Disney ADR.

I don't think that's true. You can do it if you're a member. It's a perk of membership. If you call and find out that's not the case, please let us know!

Other non-Disney owned restaurants, like those at DS, offer reservations through other reservation systems where you can make a reservation outside the Disney ADR system. I'm not aware of Y&Y being part of that.

I called the restaurant directly for a reservation a few months ago and they required a Landry's card # in order to make a reservation directly. There was a lot more availability than what was showing through the Disney system. And, just FYI for larger parties, I believe they needed one Landry's card # for each party of six. We were a party of eight but luckily our friends are also members, so I had gotten their card # ahead of time and was able to provide both numbers over the phone.

Good to know. Thanks for verifying. We are Landry's Select members. The card has paid for itself, and a lot more since we bought it back in the old Safari Club (Rainforest Cafe) days.

Latest Y&Y ADR is 6:45pm. Park closes at 7.

We have a reservation for late July and it wasn't hard to get at all at the 60 day mark.

Given that sunset in September is very close to the time that park closes, why don't you shift your plans to either a late dinner at Satuli Canteen or getting in line for FOP 10 mins before closing with lunch at Yak & Yeti.

Looks like I have a $25 Reward on my Landry's Select Card. Can that be used at the Yak & Yeti counter service stand or must it be used at the table service part?
