Yagtsman Steakhouse or Shula's?

We've eaten at Le Cellier in the past and really enjoyed the food. We're hoping to try all new restaurants this year and are torn as to which restaurant to try. Does anyone have a strong opinion for YS, or Shula's. We're staying at the Poly and don't want to venture too far from the Parks, or monorail. Does anyone have a different suggestion? Thanks in advance for you're valued opinions.

Are you paying out of pocket or are you on the dining plan? Shulas is not on the dining plan. Shulas is a chain restaurant that you may be able to visit on a different vacation in a different city.

I am less impressed with Shulas than the Yachtsman.

DH and I loved Shula's....but have not been there in over a year. The Yachtsman, while nice, IMO did not compare to Shulas.

I say Yachtsman because we have a Shula's here in Naples so I can eat there anytime...and Yachtsman is very good

Both are the top options for steak at WDW. We have tried both, and like them both, but when you factor in Yachtsman is on the DDP and accepts the DDE discount card (Shula's never seems to offer any discount), that leans us towards Yachtsman. Also, Yachtsman is much more kid friendly than Shula's, which doesn't have a childrens menu.

I say Yachtsman because we have a Shula's here in Naples so I can eat there anytime...and Yachtsman is very good

We have a Shulas in Naples? Hmm guess I have to get out more. I actually saw Shulas was near where we are staying so was considering that for our dinner Sunday but if there is one here in town I guess that isnt so special.

Thankyou very much for the great responses. They both, however still sound really great. It'll be myself, the wife and our 13 year old daughter, and we do not plan to do the dining plan. I think it's going to come down to a coin toss.

I have not been to Yachtsman's but I have been to Shula's at WDW and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD (also 13 yrs old) and I ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse July 11 and it was GREAT, as usual! We've eaten here several times (its one of DH's faves too). The creme brulee is TO DIE FOR!!!

We stayed at the Dolphin and after passing by Shula's several times, we decided to try it on our next visit!

We love Shula's, I think we'll go to the Shulas grill in Providence tomorrow night.

I think Shula's has better steak than YSH but both are wonderful restaurants and we enjoy both.

We've been to both and I think we prefer YS. Both are great though.

If you actually enjoy fine dining steak and wines- Shula's is the place for you. YS is fine but more so because it is more kid friendly, offers the DDP and the waitstaff is more laid back. Shula's quality is much much better IMO.

We've been to both. For atmosphere, Yachtsman Steakhouse is a bit better. Foodwise -- Shula's is better. No question about it.

1) We did Shula's last Saturday with neighbors.
2) I think it is far superior to Yachtsman in both service and quality.
