Picking 1 Signature restaurant for our Feb trip. DH doesn't like seafood, but will be fine if they have a steak. Kids will eat typical kid's menu fare. Any preferences?

Have you looked at the menus posted on line?

Unless you want eating to be an adventure, I would pick Yachtsman - we love the restaurant and always eat there.

Many folks find the dishes at Narcosee's and CG to be more of an adventure than they expected, check the menu before you choose.

Last year my BGF and I went to WDW for our B'days. We tried Cal Grill. She ordered several dishes that I would NEVER have tried... and they were wonderfull! I mean really different, like a fig/blue cheese/wild honey flat bread that sounded totally gross to me- till I took a bite to be nice. It was so good! And I hate blue cheese, it usually makes me gag, and don't like figs. But the combo of all the different ingreds. were so well balanced I had 3 pieces!

This trip my DH is coming along with us. My BGF asked to go back to Cal Grill, he is a total meat and potatoes guy, and I don't care if he doesn't think he will like a thing there, we are going!
We are also going to Narcosee's and to Artist Point. It will either be a loooong trip, or he be eating alone a lot!

I think if you want to play it safe, then go the steak/potatoes way. But WDW is a place that I like to try different things that we would not eat at home. It is a wild chance sometimes. But we have never had a really bad meal. We have sent items back that we hated, or tasted funny. And that has never been a problem. We have even hesiated over a dish only to have the CM tell us that if it is not to our liking/ taste they will be happy to replace it with something else at no cost... and at Coral Reef they did when one of us ordered a special drink that ended up haveing a coconut base that caused our sons GF to gag... we had asked what was in it, and they hadn't told us it was a apple drink made with that cocnut base...

While I haven't been to Yachtsman of Cali Grill, I highly recommend Narcoossee's. Just had another exceptional meal there this week. The food was, once again, excellent, the service impeccable, and the ambiance wonderfully enhanced by both the Electrical Water Pageant and MK fireworks. Make sure you plan the day and time appropriately.

While there may be some 'adventurous' things on the menu, there are some very wonderful 'safe' things like the crab cakes, seafood chowder, gazpacho, surf and turf, among others. The kid's filet mignon was almost as good as mine! No restrictions on the dining plan.

Just a great meal in a great location.

California Grill is our favorite. Amazing atmosphere and the food is incredible. One of the best steaks I've ever had!!!

California Grill is our favorite we eat there everytime we are at Disney they have plenty of things to choose from. The food is excellent.

I love Narcoosee's and I'm not a fish eater, and I have yet to find a dessert anywhere in WDW as good as their almond crusted cheesecake.

I've never tried Yachtman's but we LOVE the food at both CG and Narcoosee's.

I did not order seafood at Narcoosee's and they had several options for me to choose from. (I live in New Orleans and no one does seafood like we do so I rarely order it other places.)

I chose a risotto that was DELICIOUS. All three of my children loved the atmosphere and the food here.

We have always loved CG and there is plenty for everyone here. The atmosphere was VERY chaotic in February which we had never experienced before...loved the food, but there were just too many people vying to see Wishes.

That said, we're going again this February, but we're definately going back to Narcoosee's too!

Suggestions for great food is the Pork Tenderloin or flatbreads!

All are great bets. I might suggest adding Artist Point to the list of possibilities. We were disappointed in Yachtsman last time we were there (about a year ago) when everyone in the party had a bad meal. We LOVE Narcoosees. The atmosphere is amazing. I know a lot of people like CG, but our preference for food is at Narcoosee's. Of all those, though, I prefer the food and atmosphere of Artist Point. All have items on the menu for those less adventurous. This trip, it's Narcoosee's, Artist Point and Jiko.

We're going in April. About what time should we reserve to see the Electric Water Pagent and MK fireworks? How is the view of the fireworks? We'll be doing CG our arrival night.

Just booked California Grill and Narcoossees! Can't wait!
