I'm planning on making reservations at Yachtman's Steakhouse for our upcoming trip. Any reviews will be appreciated!!!! Thanks!!! :flower:

It's OK. But if you are in the mood for a great steakhouse, try Shula's in the Dolphin.

Had a great meal there in May. Food was yummy, my steak was fork tender and delicious (filet with a lobster tail). Everything was great, really.

If you made a comparison, what restaurant would you compare the steaks at YS to and what restaurant would you compare the steaks at Shula's to? Just curious.

Yum!!! Just ate there last week. DH had the filet and lobster tail, I had a filet. Very tender, and delicious! Have not eaten at Shula's, but have heard they are fantastic as well. But if you are on the meal plan, Shula's is not included. I would fully back the Yachtsman, and plan to return there our next trip!!!!!

I always enjoy a trip to the Yachtsman. Our steaks have always been cooked to perfection and very tender. I really like the atmosphere (white table clothes, muted lighting, etc) as well. The white choc macadamia nut pie/cake is to die for. I can't wait for our 2 visits there in Oct.

Glad to hear the good reviews since we are going next week. How does it compare to the food at Flying Fish? Some have reported that the steaks and service are better at Flying Fish.

We always go to the Yachtsman and have always had great food, wine, service and views. If you request a window seat you can see the higher fireworks from Illuminations out the bay window. The Happiest Celebration desert was so memorable my son took a picture of it before eating it.

We dined at YS last November. The food was great! They use a special rub that was absolutely delicious. DH decided against the rub but his steak was still perfect- tender and juicy. Service was great! Ever so often, the server came by with a little brush and scraped the crumbs off the table. AND ... I like how some areas are wood floors and other areas are carpeted. It makes the atmosphere all warm and cozy. I can't wait to return!

We stay at YC at least twice a year and dine at both FF and YSH. Have also had one meal at Shula's. Have been staying at YC for 7 years now. You could not pay me or us to eat at Shula's again - attitude, attitude, attitude. FF & YSH are always consistent. YSH is convenient for us but also has great service, a good wine list and consistently goo steaks, at least according to ds14 who has literally been eating their filet mignon since age 6. FF, however, he says has the best all around steak in their special seak - I am a fish person and love FF for the many selections. However, YSH does have wonderful options for me too. I truly do not think you can go wrong with either.

DH and I have never had a bad meal there. Steaks always tender and cooked perfectly!! My mouth is watering! The white chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake is also delicious. :teeth:

We were able to order a "cup" of soup (more like a bowl) one of the times we went. It was a seafood chowder with crab! OMG! Have never tasted anything so wonderful!

Snoweywhite, that's a tough question. I do believe the steaks are better at Shula's mostly do to the seasoning I guess. However, I do take account for atmosphere and service when considering a nice steakhouse. I work for a national upscale steakhouse in Indiana called Sullivan's. I am surrounded by Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Shula's, Mo's, Eddie Merlot's, Flemmings, and St Elmo's(a local place est. 1902, but it is well known to visitors of Indy). I just think the experience is better at Shula's as well as the quality of the product. If you like the dark wood, dimly lit, sophisticated ambience, try Shula's at least once. Not to dodge the original question about steak, but I think Shula's stands on its own, even better than Morton's. Maybe YS is like Ruth's, which I am not a big fan of either.
