in all my time going to Disney have never eaten at Yachtsman. I always want to try but then I think “it’s just another steakhouse like in any city”.
So thinking about going on my upcoming trip again. Other than being in Disney is it worth going or “just another steakhouse “

I agree that it's fine. Not on the same caliber as many off-site spots. The biggest difference I have seen is not in the food quality but in the service. We had horrible service on our last visit there - absolutely awful. IME that has never happened at a nice steakhouse - the service is usually excellent, professional, and it feels like a fine dining experience.

After that frustrating and very pricey dinner, it's on our "nope" list for now.

If you really crave beef, it’s a well set up eatery. Many rave about the bread service but I try to live a low carb life so don’t really know. Certainly looks good!

Oh, yes. Those onion pull-apart rolls with the roasted head of garlic are heavenly. Complimentary in Yachtsman but available for purchase in the Crews Cup lounge next door. Otherwise, I enjoy Yachtsman but I wouldn't say there's anything distinctly Disney or different from a steakhouse you'd find anywhere.

I would say it depends on what type of foods you want. Our family is very much a meat and potatoes family and for the most part we do not like seafood, so we look for steak places. While Yachtsmen is not any better than a good steak place you might find at home, and I would even go as far as to say Shula's right there at the Dolphin is better, for us it is a must do every trip. We are not "fine" diner people and have always found the service to be fantastic. That is why I love Disney, something for everyone and their tastes, so it is really up to you and your preferences.

I'd rank it just below a Ruth's Chris in terms of quality alone (not value for $$). It's very good steak on property. But you can certainly get better quality and value off property. Not a bad option if you're willing to pay the mouse tax 😅

We tried it once, if it was just the mediocre food I might give them another chance, but, there really was nothing that we found above average there.

Nevermind Prime, I'm not sure their steaks are even Certified beef.

I've had better steaks and service at Flying Fish & Shula's.

We were staying at the Yacht Club so swung by for dinner last month. We had a great time overall - good but not a standout steakhouse. We would happily go again if we were staying there and ran out of other options first, but for now not first on our list.

Love reading the reviews about this place. We've enjoyed it over the years but the thing that really stands out for us is the bread service. Those pull apart onion rolls with the roasted garlic and salted butter is to die for!

Of course if that's what you remember about a steak restaurant is the bread service, then that tells you something about the steak.

I enjoyed it when I went but it was not memorable in the way Le Cellier (the apology moose mouse was just chef's kiss) and Steakhouse 71 were.

I cannot really recall my meal. Just remember it being pretty good but expensive.

Ive never had a good steak there. Either cooked wrong or a ton of gristle. That said, I do indeed keep trying every once in a while just to get those rolls

We go every few months. Is it the best meal you have ever had, that all depends on your taste. ( I hate food reviews lol) Always have gotten great service ( ask for David) they all are great and like any other restaurant, if something is not to your liking, they will make it right. We like the location and never walked out thinking that was terrible.

Meh - it's a steakhouse. We have plenty of good places locally that sell a good steak. I like steak, but it's not my favourite food, and I can cook a pretty good one myself at home, so it's not something that we typically look for when on vacation. But I will say that the Crew's Cup Lounge is a favourite. It's not always listed on the online menu, but the prime rib sliders are fabulous. And, yes, the pull-apart bread which you can order there is delicious, and some of the other items are quite good too. It is much less expensive to eat there, and no ADRs are necessary - just walk up. We've taken Yachtsman off our list but kept Crew's Cup.
