Just switched our first empty next / 20th anniversary trip from Poly to BW (couldn't resist a BW view during food and wine!) so I cancelled Citrico's.

Looking at Yachtsman or Shula's as a replacement .... Any and all suggestions/opinions welcome.

Thanks!

Shula's has FAR less kids, and I give it an edge, but not a huge one on food. The service is much better at Shula's IMHO.

Yachtsman is solid though!

If you do Shula's I can't recommend stopping for a Bluezoo cocktail enough. Really quality mixologists.

We don't bother with Shula's at WDW, because it's not unique to WDW. I know not everyone has them locally, but you might even travel elsewhere and try one.

That being said, we enjoy Yachtsman. Great food and service. We also haven't found a ton of children when we've dined there.

We preferred Shula's. We liked Yachtsman, but really enjoyed Shula's. Warning, the portions are enormous!! The waiter actually tried to encourage my husband to split some of the sides but he ordered his own sides anyway. The steaks were so big we could have shared those as well. We couldn't eat half of the food. That really bothered me as I hate wasting food. We learned our lesson and decided we would share when we go again. Everything was excellent!!

If you do a little searching on-line, you may come across a 20% off coupon for Shula's.

That would be something that might steer me toward Shula's. The lure of onion rolls with roasted garlic and truffle mac & cheese at Yachtsman is pretty strong.

Either way, you'll be happy. They are both excellent restaurants. :)

Background..... We hold APs, and are DVC owners. We go twice per year, 8 years running.

Shula's. We have been to BOTH, more than once. We stopped trying at Yachtsman.

We now hit Shula's TWICE, each vacation, eight days per vacation, four times per year. One night is STEAK night, the next one is LOBSTER night.
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I didn't like Shula's, but I really don't like football, so the decor and football menu really bugged me. And I was sitting right next to really poorly behaved children. I preferred Yachtsmans sophisticated atmosphere.

Both places had good, expensive food.
