Yachtsman or Shula's for anniversary dinner?

DH and I are currently debating on which place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary We are staying at BC so we are close to both restaurants. We will be paying OOP for this meal, so DDP not a consideration. We do like Le Cellier and are planning a family meal there during our trip. So, between Yachtsman and Shula's, what would you choose?

Shula's, hands down, without question. The food is much much better, the atmosphere is darker, there are few to no kids around, overall a much better choice for an anniversary dinner, assuming it will be just the 2 of you.

Yes, just the two of us for this meal. Kids will go to the childcare center that night so we can have time to ourselves. Thanks!

While they both have great service, the steaks at Yachtsman's is not even in the same league as Shula's. Shula's is well worth the price. Their steaks are even good the next day for breakfast!

After reviewing the menus with DH we have decided to try and snag a ressie at Shula's....mmmmmm.....looks so good!!!!!! Thanks for the input!!!!

I like both places, but since you are paying OOP the choice is rather easy: Shula's is the clear choice!

Another vote for Shulas.

I dont know if they have the thing that your kids can go to Camp Dolphin for 3 hours while you dine for free

Also you might want to check into the restaurant.com certificate if you cam get one for Shulas. Might help cut down the cost if you are paying oop.

Dh and I spent about $180 with no alcohol. We did have alot of courses though. And I think we had the TIW discount too.
