Yachtsman attire!

What do you and your kids wear when you go to the Yachtman Steakhouse? We will be going for the first time and I don't want to offend anyone by wearing overly causal attire. I see where they will accept t-shirts now if there is no offensive logo or words on them. It will be warm, so I am thinking nicer shorts and collared shirts for the guys and longer shorts and nice tops for the girls? It won't be a problem with kids will it---they do have a children's menu. Thanks.

I have done Yachtsman, the filet mignon was terrific! The one time I was on DDP and decided to burn two TS, it was well worth it.

As for dress code, there is 'supposed' to be one. What you described will be fine, collared polo shirt and nice shorts will be fine. Disney would really rather not see the following but, it is rarely enforced:
Beach/Swim Wear, cutoff jeans, sleevless Tshirts tank tops (especially on the men), flip flops, basically just try not to be a grub when you go on there. Use good judgement.

That being said, you will see about anything in there as well as most Disney restaurants. The only place that rigidly enforces a dress code is Victoria and Alberts, guys wear a jacket, ladies see the requirements, I think it is at least dressy slacks outfit or better, not sure but it is posted when you make reservations.

We went to dinner there on our last trip 2 years ago.

My wife and kids ( 3 girls ) wore dresses. Summer type dresses. I wore khaki pants and a polo type shirt. I think we were fine, however, at the time, I decided that if I ever went there again, I would wear a shirt and tie.

It is a NICE place. I would think what we had on was fine, but wouldn't go much less. just my opinion.

I've eaten at Yachtsman maybe 6 times and I've never thought anyone needed to wear a tie.

I wear nice capris and a top. My husband wears khaki slacks and a polo.

In the summer most men will be in nice shorts and polo type shirts. Women will be in nice shorts, capris, summer dresses. I think children in nice shorts and nice tees would be fine too.
