Give it to me straight. Which one of these would you pick? Dh really wants to try the Yacht Man's. I would lean towards Le cellier other than there are tooooooooooo many places to eat at Epcot. Thanks!

These are both great restaurants. But we prefer the Yachtsmans Steakhouse. It is quiet, the service is impeccable and the steaks wonderful. Yachtsmans is a little more upscale but you can still get away with shorts and jeans in there.

I am sorry I just had to have a little laugh at your title, I thought it was a new type of steak at the Yachtsman for us hungry beef eaters. :lmao:

Food is good at both, service is hit or miss at both. As stated the Yachtsman is somewhat more upscale than LeCellier, but LeCellier has a fun atmosphere.

Yachtsman is a much better restaurant all around - food, service, decor, quiet atmosphere, etc. If you really want a steak and are choosing between those two, Yachtsman is the place to go.

Ok, I didn't realize it was all one word. I was just taking a stab at both of them.

Would a 2 yr old be welcomed if they are behavied at the Yachtmans or not? Thank you!

We prefer Yachtsman also. I think you would be fine with the 2 year old. We had 2 of our girls with us (7 & 12) and felt very comfortable.

Everyone really enjoyed the meal. If you are a drinking girl I highly highly highly recommend the Razztini. ;)

We had dinner at both our last trip. They were both very good. The main decision for us this trip was that Yatchsman was 2 ts and Le cellier was only 1. So with our famil we are doing Le Cellier. (And I can have my cheese soupl) We enjoyed both, the Yachtsman has a less crowded feel to it compared to Le Cellier it seems there the tables are on top of each other. I would bring a child to either place.

We just ate at the yachtsman last week with our 16 month old and it was fine. I do have to add that I was not impressed at all. For the money the food was not that great and the service was awful. I had to leave before dessert with the baby because are meal took so long and we were like the second people to be seated for the night. If you have ever been to Ruth Chris then you will not be impressed. Just my 2 cents.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a nice meal where you get dressed up I say go for Yachtsman. If you aren't looking at going to change before dinner LeCellier. Both are really great places and I love the atmosphere. You can't go wrong either way. :thumbsup2

I've eaten at both and I would recommed Le Cellier. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Yachtsman. I've had two dinners there (one each on my last two trips) and they were both delicious. I think the decor of the restaurant is nice, and the service is always good.

With that said, I think Le Cellier is a better value. I like their cheese soup and bread alot. Plus I think the quality of steak is around the same. Plus the menu has more choice.

My husband's a steak snob. He'd say Jiko. Just to make life confusing for you.....

I think JenRose hit it on the head! All things being equal, many people rave about the cheese soup and the breadsticks at Le Cellier. :earsboy:

We have eaten at Yachtsman Steakhouse every trip since they opened and would not dream of skipping it. The food is wonderful as is the service.

We've been to Le Cellier several times and while the food is good, the place is always so loud and crowded. The tables are so close together it is just not comfortable for us.

We are trying both restaurants as well in June with our 10 & 12 year old boys.

But....I am a drinking girl and I can't wait to try the Razztini!!! Thanks for the suggestion! (Good thing we are staying at the Beach Club...I can stumble "home"!) :drinking1

That's pretty much it, in a nutshell. I've had a couple of dry, gristly steaks at Le Cellier, and only have had excellent steaks at Yachtsman Steakhouse.

We had dined at Le Cellier, and enjoyed our meal there. It was good and I thought I would go back again. Loved the soup & bread, everything else I would rate good.

Then we went to YSH and were WOWed!!!! Everything, food, service, and atmosphere, was absolutely perfect. The food was amazing from the bread with butter and garlic (I like this better than the soup and bread at LC) right through desert.

After dining at YSH, we have been back there 2 more times, and I cannot see myself going back to Le Cellier now. We are trying CG for the first time this summer and it's killing me not going to YSH, but we want to try the fireworks experience once.
