Hi:flower3:

Hubby and I have a dinner reservation for 6:05PM.
We are going for 1/2 day at Epcot, but would like to see one of the concerts that starts at 5:30.

Will we be able to walk back to the yacht club around 10 of 6 to make our 6:05 reservation. Im trying for a later ressie with no luck for Sunday the 28th.

Is there a grace period for at least 15 minutes in case we're a little late?

:thanks:

If you walk quickly, 15 minutes should be just about enough time going from stage at American pavilion to the Yacht Club. I don't know if there is an official grace period, but I have called the dining line numerous times when I was running late due to a bus delay etc. and they said that most restaurants will honor your ADR up to 20 minutes. Had no problem arriving 15 minutes late to Jiko and Mama Melrose.

Also, definitely keep checking, because people change their reservations all the time. I've had good luck with stuff popping up the night before and day-of because of the 24 hour cancellation policy. You could also set up a search on touring plans (for free, don't need to pay for full subscription); I have been able to get very difficult reservations that way (i.e. Cali Grille brunch, Be Our Guest dinner). Good luck!

I assume you mean the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort?
I believe you need more than 15 minutes to walk from the concert to the restaurant. American Garden Theatre is on the far side of World Showcase
You should never plan on being late. There is no official grace period. It depends on how busy it is etc

well I,m not actually PLANNING on being late.

if you read my comment i asked if i had enough time if we left the concert at 10 of 6 PM will we have enough time to get to a 6:05 ressie at the Yachtsman steakhouse.

I did call dining and was informed that they do indeed have a grace period of 15 minutes YAY! so we,re good to go

Good to know! I wasn't sure if it was official policy or not so I didn't want to give misinformation.

I totally believe the CM you spoke with told you that. Telephone CM’s are notorious for giving wrong information.
There is no official Grace Period, by Policy. Your mileage may vary when you arrive. You most likely Will be seated. Just know they are within their rights if it is busy and you are after your ADR time to turn you away.
I think it will take close to 30 minutes to walk from the concert to the restaurant.

Whoo Hoo!!:flower3:

while i was up late(12:25am)last nite, my phone dinged and it was a Touring Plans alert. There was a 7:15PM ressie available:worship::love:pixiedust: Now we don't have to rush from the 5:30pm concert in the American Gardens theater and take a leisurely walk back to the Yacht Club
Hope everyone has some pixie dust too:thumbsup2

Good luck eating that very expensive fancy cake after eating that fantastic meal you order!

Ask for Thomas, he’s a fabulous server!

I second that! He was one of the best servers we have ever had!

My wife and I ate there in August. It's now our favorite restaurant in Disney.

^^ I know it will be filling and fantastic. Its my favorite!
But We'll certainly make room for our delicious cake:cake: :woohoo:lol The Yacht club private dining makes the best cakes!! And i will see if Thomas is available. :thanks:
