Yacht Club Suggestions??

So the wife and I woke up today and randomly decided to book a vacation for this Thursday!!! We choose to try a new resort and decided to try the Yacht Club. Any suggestions or tips? We'll be there in 3 days!!!

Is it worth taking the boats to EPCOT vs the bus? What's faster?

Definitely faster to walk than take the boat. Maybe a 10-15 minute walk, at the most, to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT (between the UK and France).

There is no bus to EPCOT from the Yacht Club.

Walk to Epcot. It will only take about 6-8 minutes. We loved the location and SAB pool is the best IMO. Remember to bring your room keys when you go to the pool. (everyone in your party will need their key). I was with my husband who had his key and we were both dressed in swim suits and they still made me go back or my key before they let me in the pool. I didn't mind because that cuts way down on pool hoppers.

Love the Yacht Club, we were there last October. As PPs noted you can walk to EPCOT in less than 10 minutes. You even see most of the fire works from the beach area, make sure to grab an Ice Cream Sundae from Beaches & Cream. If you can get a reservation at the Yachtsman they have great steaks. Also if you enjoy a good walk, you walk to the Studio Park, if it's not to hot in the morning.

As Dee said -- there is endless, awesome info on the YC/BC thread. You may not have time to read it all!

My points of emphasis for YC stay:

Try Crew' Cup lounge for an adult beverage and lighter food options.

Do not miss Stormalong Bay -- (but also the quiet pool can be a nice change of pace).

Take a stroll around the Boardwalk.

Watch movies on the beach at night.

Love the Yacht Club!!!

You will definitely want to walk to Epcot, its way faster than the boat in my opinion. Like the other posters said there is no bus.

Take the boat to the Studios, its faster than walking and its a nice ride.

Enjoy the resort, its one of the best!

We did the same thing! We just needed a vaca BAD. Checking in on friday

my favorite resort. stay away from captains grille. disgusting and bad service but do walk over to Kouzzina at the boardwalk and eat there Delicious! Stormalong is amazing and the slide is a must do. Beaches and cream is perfect on a summer day and night.

Sounds good guys! Great info and I'll try to hit it all. I'm definatly going to the steakhouse and hitting up the boardwalk for sure!!
