I've recently been reading a few places that the YC and BC are starting to look there age, and will be in need of a refurb soon.

Has anyone been there recently, that can confirm it looking dated and old??

Should this deter me from going there for our honeymoon??

OPINIONS WANTED!!!

Say it ain't so!!! The YC & BC just completed renovations of ALL of their rooms (changing the furnishings & bedspreads, walkways, and a nice paint job! This took a good 6-8 months to complete. Showing its age? Not from what I can see! :teeth:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YC RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I stayed at the YC last November for the first time. It was newly renovated and just beautiful. We saw nothing that looked shabby. Everything was first-rate. It is now our favorite resort. The next time we go back to WDW, it will be my first choice of resorts.

I think that maybe you should keep an eye on the dates that comments like that were posted. ;) A couple years ago I would have agreed with you, but after the extensive renovations they've been doing, both are looking great!

I stayed at the YC about 13 months ago, and I've stayed at the BCV twice in the past year, and as far as the condition of the rooms and lobbies, etc, they looked great! :)

We were at the YC this past August, it was beautiful and very well maintained.

nope, The Yacht Club is in fine shape! They just refurbished the whole resort, BC also.
I last stayed there in July, pretty as a picture! :)

Have fun :)

The YC and BC are pristine.... gorgeous inside and out. The BC has some scaffolding up right now replacing the siding on certain areas.. but it did not detract from my stay there at all.

I noticed the pool could use some fresh paint in areas and some of the staircases into it could use some repair.

We were there just one month ago. It was beautiful! Room was perfect. The only thing looking old was the hairdryer in the room--a box type thing with a hose. Bring your own hairdryer but otherwise, don't worry a bit!

I was just at the Yacht Club in May. It was absolutely gorgeous, clean, pristine, fabulous. Can I say enough!?
