We stayed on the first floor, standard view, overlooking the retention pond (basically a small swampy pond on the side closest to the Swan/Dolphin). It felt like we were in a basement.
I felt like the room itself needed to be refurbished. It was like being stuck in the 80's. For $315/night, I think the room should have flat screen TVs, not the large, deep one that was just sitting on top of a dresser. Look at this picture to see the TV and how it's just sitting on top of a dresser. Kind of like it was an after thought.

(I know it will sound crazy, but that large screen not being covered in sleeping quarters is really bad feng shui.)
The bedspreads need to be replaced, they are worn. The carpet was stained and needed to be replaced. The toilets were not the best quality, and did not flush well. The bathroom itself is really tiny for a deluxe, but that's not something that a refurb would really address. The wallpaper was not well stuck onto the walls, parts were peeling and there were crayon marks on the wallpaper.
And just to be a nit-pick, I think the small laundry room really needs an upgrade. The machines didn't work that were there, and when the dryers were running in that room (which is very small), the ventilation/air conditioning could not keep up and it was extremely hot in the room.
We didn't spend much time in the lobby, just for check-in and it seemed well kept and themed. Stormalong Bay was well-maintained, as were all the outside grounds, and the outside of the building.
