Yacht Club Question

Hey there: Regarding The Yacht Club resort-we are going for a quick weekend getaway without the kids in November for my bday. Is this a good pick for relaxation?? I kno nothing about this resort, any help would be most appreciated, can you see wishes from this resort-thats my favorite show and every year I see it for my birthday.

YC is a great resort for a relaxing WDW vacation, but if you really want quiet, stay away from Stormalong Bay. It is a large pool complex with lots of kids. YC also has a very nice "quiet pool", however, which is a very relaxing spot, as it is rarely crowded.

If you have an upper floor standard view (e.g., parking lot view) room, you may be able to see some of Wishes. However, as the Epcot resorts (including YC) are several miles from the Magic Kingdom, what you can see is way off in the distance and in no way can substitute for actually being in the MK during the show.

This is DH and I fav resort out of all of them because it is super quiet, has an amazing quiet pool and spa that no one seems to use, fantastic location, awesome dining options...I wish I was there right now!!!

The YC is a very nice resort. We enjoy it since we can walk around the World Showcase at Epcot in the evenings, have dinner, watch Illuminations, and take a leisurely walk (against the throngs of people going the other way) to the back entrance and back to the hotel.

We have seen Illuminations from our balcony before (lagoon view), but have never been able to see the MK fireworks out our windows on the parking lot side (never really tried to, though, so maybe we could have seen some of it).

We have had an excellent view of Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from our balcony on a lagoon room at GF (Boca Chica building).

The Epcot area is great, especially for adults, but to see the fireworks, I think it is just way too far away.

I stayed at the YC in dec and it was great. I loved walking to the Epcot and DHS. I loved going over to the BW and checking out things.
You will be able to see Illuminations from the lagoon, maybe do an illuminations cruise those are fun.
