Yacht Club Pre-Planning Office

I am leaving in 2 days for the Yacht Club and I just wanted to tell everyone about my experience with the pre-planning office over at the Yacht Club. I have been dealing with Alana for my reservations and requests and I have to tell you, this has been one of the very best experiences I have ever had.

For those of you who don't know what a pre-planning office does, it's a service offered to concierge guests to help them put together you vacation details... dining reservations (PS or whatever it's called now..LOL) tour information and reservations, speciality items and needs... etc... they just help make it all happen. Sometimes they are able to get those hard to get reservations that we all want but are hard to get our hands on if you know what I mean...

From day one, Alana has just been a real joy to deal with, I have gotten every PS I requested and for the times I needed. She has gone into great detail about the different tours I was interested in and if she didn't have an answer for me at the time, which as very rare, she would research it and sent me an email quickly.

If you ever get the chance to deal with Alana, I hope your luck will be as good as mine has been, I really do feel as if she has helped make a wonderful vacation....

That is awesome to hear! I am really considering the Yacht Club for my first visit to WDW in January. Can wait to read about your stay when you return!

Alana is awesome . I have never had so much fun planning a Disney trip as I did with her. Even after we arrived and experienced a problem that the on site staff was reluctant to help with, I simply placed a call to Alana and within 5 minutes she had the situation resolved.

If you have the opportunity, please send a letter to guest services expressing your pleasure. I did this, in addition to sending a small token of my appreciation to all the staff members in IPO. They truly do deserve to be recognized and hopefully rewarded by management at their review time.

Hey TMM, you are going to have a great trip no matter which resort you go with, I've stayed at most of them over the years...LOL... I'll post a daily report during my vacation on some pages I created and then something on the DIS when I return...

Hey Tammi, good to talk to you again.

I called the Disney Florist and had her sent a really nice florial piece. She sent me an email saying she was the talk of the office, I was just happy to do it after all the work she had done for me. Now I know it's her job but every now and then you come accross a CM that does go above and beyond the call of duty and Alana is such a person. I do plan on taking her number JUST IN CASE there is a problem. If we do have something go wrong, she will be the first one I call after trying the concierge...

I will write a detailed letter to Guest Services when I return from vacation. It has been a long time since I've been back to WDW and I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to going back. It feels like these last few days are taking forever but I know time is getting close because my friends are calling me to say Have a great trip.

I have created a few web pages to post my pictures to during the trip. I am taking my laptop and my digital camera because so many of my friends want to see what's going on while I am there so as soon as I start posting photos, I'll let you know...

I will have to agree, Alana is the BEST! I have delt with her many times and she is just wonderful. She came over to the BWI to meet me last year. She is so awesome at her job. She called to make sure everything was all set, went shopping for me and had things in my son and his wife's room. I will be back down in just 10 days and hopefully will get to see Alana again.
