Yacht Club Galley

Hello everyone! I have 2 weeks left to my 1st disney trip with me, dh,dd15 and dd12! Stupid me waited until the last minute to make reservations and ended up with the Yacht Club Galley for the 4th of July! I never heard of it before. For people who has been there how is the food? My dd is a vegetarian!! Thank you !

It's pretty good - really basic fare, and not a destination dining spot.

My DW's aunt, who visits us while we're at WDW frequently, is a vegetarian. Even when there's nothing specific on the menu, we've found that most any TS restaurant can accomodate us - even carnivore specfic restaurants like 'Ohana and WCC. There are always salads, but for peace of mind a quick call ahead to the specific restaurant should do the trick.

I assume that where you will be is the Yacht Club Galley, I have never heard of the Geller before. I have been a few times now. The first times it was more of a all purpose restaurant, or the "coffee shop of the Yacht Club and Beach Club" resorts but a bit more upscale. This last December we wanted that kind of place to eat at the last minute so went over and the dinner menu was much more upscale and we had one of the best meals of the trip. Excellent food with decent service (not super fast) but more expensive than in the past and than we had expected.

We enjoyed dinner there on July 3 last year. There were many, varied selections and as others have said, most restaurants are very accomodating to vegetarian diners. They offered a special drink in honor of July 4th - red, white and blue layers (non-alcoholic) and the kids in our group of 10 all enjoyed it.
