YAAAY!! My waitlist for Aulani for OV and VGC 1 BR. came through!!

Definitely my DVC stars were aligning for me.. ! All my wait lists came through and so exciting. I have 2 trips coming up.. July in Aulani and October for VGC!!!! so hard to get on the 7th month mark at VGC but came through...

Isn't it just crazy when it comes through... you read the email or look on the site and there it is- I'm always in disbelief, especially after watching the site like a hawk to see if there are cancellations for a day here or there on my waitlist. Congratulations and have fun at Aulani and DL!

Yes!! its so crazy!! I saw am email from DVC.. and i know i didnt make any more reservatioins. haha no more points.. so i clicked on it.. and i blinked 2x to read the message.. That's was a huge surprise. I understand that VGC is so hard to get.. coz its a small resort.. so i wasnt even thinking that anything was going to open up..

As far as Aulani.. Now the tickets are expensive.. so i have to really have to time my purchase during the weekdays to get the cheapest.. and soon i hope.

It all makes me wonder... when is addonitis going to attack me?? not soon i hope but i feel that getting points for VGC may be worth it.

Can't wait..!

Discomom, congrats! You are going to LOVE Aulani! I think it's the best thing Disney has ever done! As for airfares, there is a site I really like for finding deals on Hawaii: www.beatofhawaii.com They will keep you abreast of fare drops, etc. I would also recommend you subscribe to Hawaiian & Alaska Airlines email lists. Even if they do not fly out of an airport near you, don't forget that if you can get a great flight to the west coast, there are often great fares to HNL from west coast gateway cities! Congrats! So hope we have some luck with that... We're trying to piece together a stay 12/22 - 1/3 and it's not going very well. We have a 2BR from 12/22 - 12/28 and 1 studio for 12/29 - 12/31 and another just for 12/28-12/29. Obvioulsy a very busy time to try to go.

Funny, we have a combination of waitlists to try and piece it together and two of them have had the rooms come available overnight, but the waitlist wasn't pulled .

Anyway, anyone ever wondered how many people have a waitlist for a room someone else has who they have a waitlit for the room you have? That a sophisticated room/waitlit matching algorithm could possibly move through more waitlists by room swapping?

I'm just wonering who out there has the room I want but maybe has a waitlist for the room I have...
