Yaaay 2018 rates are finally released!! Time to start planning!!

Just noticed this also then came over here to see when they were released as there were no standard view rooms at the DLH for memorial day already which seemed weird. Oh well, guess we will go home Sunday as I was able to get one if I dropped off that night!

Always wanted to stay on site, but the savings off site afford us better dining options.

Me too... DLH was coming in at $511/night but that was still better than the $574 for a "deluxe" view there... Im not even sure what the difference is. Poolview maybe? Usually we stay at the BW across the street but I'm adding a couple days to doing the Backstage Magic through Adventures by Disney. I figure its already spendy, lets make it a once in a lifetime. I was surprised they couldn't add on days at the DLH, I could only have done more at GC since that is where the package stays. I get it mind you, but still surprised.

That's how I'm viewing it. I want to do a couple of dining packages and that will make it much easier to play.

The rate posted are the rack rates for the hotels. The highest rates possible. Usually hotel rates lower within a 90 to 120 window and sometimes every day. The rates will go down. I have done this - made a reservation at one of the hotel - pay the deposit and when the rate goes down you call and it is adjusted. It is a game. Agreed if you stay off site you save a lot and you can use the money for other things.
