Spirit had cheap flights ($48 each way) so we booked our flights, now I just have to plan my vacation around that!!!!

Hoping for Free Dining (of course) in September, but not holding my breath. Leaning towards CB or POFQ. (we have stayed at POR last 2 trips, wanna try something different)

I have mobility issues(hip replacement/revision), so I always rent a scooter. Which is your favorite Moderate, or even Value resort?

(Would love to stay at the Boardwalk or Poly, but just not happening for us!)

I was gonna ask that, too. However, September the prices usually drop. (After the kids are back to school.)

You probably already know this, but Spirit charges for carry-on bags as well as checked bags. If you book online, it's $35 for each carry-on bag. Their website says they provide one personal item free of charge, but the personal item is a purse...not a carry on.

I know that once I added in all of the extras that Spirit charged, it ended up being just as much to fly AirTran or American.

Not saying that $96 isn't a great deal....it absolutely is......just reminding those who don't know (and I didn't initially) to check the fine print!

Atlantic City We live about 35 minutes from the airport, and security is so FAST!!!!

I can pack lightly, so for the 4 of us I will only pay an extra $100 round trip for our bags, still cheaper for me!!! Plus the proximity of the airport just makes it so convenient.

We just flew Spirit out of AC in Dec and dh and ds each took a backpack, and I had a canvas lap-top style bag as our carry-ons. We didn't pay for them. I LOVE AC airport!

I know!!!! They say they charge $25 for any carry on that has to go in the overhead compartment, but the last time I was having bit of a hard time "squishing my backpack under the seat and the attendant told me, just put it up top!!!! I felt bad for all those people that pre-paid. Frankly, I even had one attendant tell me that the "gate agents" really don't want to be bothered with checking whose bag is over the "personal item" size, but they did not pay. She said "if you aren't dragging on a body bag, we don't usually care", "unless you either draw attention to your bag or make a nuisance of yourself!!!!"

Do you have any idea how often I'd travel if we had access to this kind of airfare? (+/-$600.00 pp to MCO during that timeframe) OP...good for you!! Where is that "green with envy" smilie when you need it!
