Y&R take 3 - SPOILERS inside

i 4th the motion on victoria loosing the baby. not nice at all

Got to remember that JT/Mac was fired so maybe they want to raise the kid away from GC?

So hopefully Victoria will get custody of Reed now. Okay is Catherine going to die? I know she's older than anyone, but I hope she doesn't. I know it sounds weird, but she's my link to my mom and grandma who have passed.

I think Katherine is going to be ok - they said she was dehydrated & exhusted so hopefully she will be around for a long long time

Somewhat off topic, but not really today since ATWT is ending. Do you guys wonder how long soaps in general will last? I find it really sad so many are ending and being replaced with crap like Maury.

everything has it's time and place.

now more women (the main stay of soaps) are working and the younger girls find other things to watch or spend their time on the chances get higher and higher.

who here thought in a million years Oprah would end her show?

soaps are the longest running shows period but i don't see them lasting the next 20 years. i fully expect Y&R to be off the air before I retire.

Guess that means i'll have to spend my retirement planning disney trips :)

I wonder if a tv executive would think about trying moving one of the daytime soaps to nighttime. I wish they would have taken Guilding Light to nighttime instead of cancelling it.

I'm still getting the details, but CHANCE IS ALIVE!!! HE WILL BE SHOWN ON FRIDAY'S SHOW!

ooh, I can't wait to watch it tonight when I get home!!! :). I figured he was alive, glad they didn't drag it out for months.

he's alive and well and going into hiding until the trial when he will come back and have had major MAJOR plastic surgery to look like someone completely different. they will even swap out his voice box to sound different but we'll know it's him. of course not until someone says his name

AH HA - i knew it.

the EMT's that pronounced Chance dead were FBI

and that`s why they pronounced him dead so fast

wow its amazing just how quickly nikki goes from hating victor for what he did to victoria to being lovey dovey kiss kiss blah

ooh, I can't wait to watch it tonight when I get home!!! :). I figured he was alive, glad they didn't drag it out for months.

I'm kinda glad too, but it also would have been kinda good to have him show up at a trial as a surprise. Chance's story line has gotten much better since they shot him...maybe Heather needs to be shot lol.

Victor and Paul pick up on Nikki's odd behavior, she claims to be on edge because of everything that's been going on. No one realizes she's drinking again Skye continues to blackmail Adam into doing what she wants or she'll expose him, Adam is reaching the end of his rope. He wants out Chance tells Nina his death was faked and not to be pissed at Chris and Ronan. Nina is pissed Phillip and Chance faked their deaths, put her through pain Jill reaches out to Chloe, telling her she has to grieve and let go of her anger. Jill relates since she was pissed at Katherine for years for killing Phillip Victor goes to Heather saying he can help her be DA in the next election, Heather knows there's a catch. Victor wants her to go after Adam again Nina reaches out to Ronan and apologizes for everything she said to him, she learns Ronan is leaving w/ Chance. They hug, Nina says goodbye to both sons Back at the Chancellor mansion, Nina returns w/ Phillip and Christine. She can't put into words how she feels. Katherine comforts her, Nina looks guilty

Next - Adam has his hand around Skye's throat, he warns one day he may just snap; Jack asks Phyllis if they should finish their drinks or get a room; JT wants Mac to have their child

jt's got a lot of nerve. he was the one who hooked up first, he was the one how moved in (or rather had mac move in with him) first, they he gets all upset that victoria hooked up with billy and now that she's pg he wasn't to get mac pg.

this competition with him is just stupid.

the sooner they leave the show the better

"Jack doesn't really know Skye, but she's clearly into some fairly twisted stuf. And, frankly, Jack doesn't hem or haw. He just says 'Oh you've got bad timing, gets out of bed and leaves'

Jack plans to keep a close eye on the Newman hedge fund and keep Skye on a short leash. Jack hasn't considered this could cause problems in his plan to take down Adam, Jack is not thinking with the proper part of his body.

Emmy winner Michael Badalucco will make a short-term appearance on The Young and the Restless next month. Badalucco, known best as "Jimmy the Grunt" from the ABC series The Practice, will play a bookie. Y&R has made news in recent months for hiring well-known film and television for short-term roles.

The Young and the Restless has signed another former primetime player for a recurring role. In recent months, the top-rated soap has made a habit of placing well-known stars from television and film into key, albeit short-term, roles.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Emmy winner Michael Badalucco, known best for his role as Jimmy Berluti on the David E. Kelley legal drama, The Practice, has been cast in the role of Hogan. Hogan is said to be a bookie who helps Jeffrey and Kevin raise cash to pay for Gloworm. In a bit of irony, Badalucco's character on The Practice got himself into some hot water with a bookie because of a gambling problem.

In addition to his work on The Practice, Badalucco has made guest-starring appearances on Cold Case and In Plain Sight. The actor also has numerous film credits on his résumé, including Jungle Fever, and Clockers, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?

As previously mentioned, Badalucco is the latest high-profile performer to play a bit part on Y&R. Earlier this year, Eric Roberts appeared as ruthless attorney Vance Abrams. Film vet Sean Young continues to appear in the recurring role of Meggie. On September 1, former Brady kid, Susan Olsen, made a single episode cameo as a preschool teacher.

Badalucco first appears on October 13.
