Y.E.S. Program (I think) Meal Vouchers

A friend of my daughter's gave her 3 hard plastic cards they used for meals on a school trip (band) about 2 weeks ago. Do these expire? 2 are unused and the other is partially used.

I would find it unusual that these don't expire at some time even though they were pre-paid (I assume)

They do not expire. Nor should they. Someone paid for them. My DD played softball in DW last April. In August we returned and used the balance on her dining cards. I think hers had a picture of stitch on them. We went to guest services in Downtown Disney to check the balances on them before we used them.

Are these meal vouchers something that is available to everyone?
I am planning to take my niece and nephew to WDW this fall using the Y.E.S. program.
Is there someplace I can inquire about meals, or is it only for groups?

That is why I thought as well. I assume our school district paid for them or with some combination of the fees paid by the parents'.

When we last did YES (Jan 2011) there was some type of meal voucher available.
