Hello,

I'm curious if anyone who has tried to enroll in the individual enrollment program at Disneyland has come across a similar situation: when you go on the website under individual enrollment for Disneyland, it shows the classes available as well as the pricing. Then to enroll you are redirected to another website run by USA STUDENT TRAVEL. Same info and pricing as Disney's site and it says the classes are for "9 or LESS". I submit the request form so that I can be contacted regarding availability. I received an email that has higher prices (about $40 more per person for s five day hopper) and I'm told classss are for "10 or more". So I call the number to see why all the discrepancies compared to the website. She mentions that she is a third party called MUSIC AMERICA...not Disney and not USA TRAVEL. She goes on to say that Disneyland does not do individual enrollment and because she is a third party, her prices are higher! Ok-what? The website is very clear...yes there is individual enrollment and it states 9 or less not 10 or more- and most importantly, the prices are different! She says my only option is to book with her. Why am I being given the runaround?

Is there another number you can call for general questions about the YES program?

My only experience is with WDW, but we did YES Individual Enrollment in 2012 and I recently purchased our tickets for this summer. It is through a third party (shows up as something like Student Ticket Services), but mine has always been to the penny what it quotes on the website.

I don't think WDW says anything about "9 or less" or "10 or more". That sounds like a group, not individual enrollment maybe?

I am curious about this myself. We were thinking of doing this for our summer trip. If the prices are higher than on the website I don't know that we will do it.

You need to focus on the main issue here. Ignore the price change "bait and switch" talk. The price is different because you're seeing the price for the group classes, not the individual enrollment. You need to get in contact with the individual enrollment people; that's the problem.

Well, I tried calling the main one and then they gave me another one because Disneyland is handled differently.

I am curious about this myself. We were thinking of doing this for our summer trip. If the prices are higher than on the website I don't know that we will do it.
The prices do not show up anywhere in the site as far as the ones I was given by this lady. I am clearly clicking on INDIVIDUAL ENROLLMENT and when you look up the info on the ticket prices under individual enrollment, they are not the same ones that this third party person told me.

I have...they are saying that it is some sort of error and they heard this before. It's not "bait and switch talk" it is Disney listing one price clearly under INDIVIDUAL ENROLLMENT and saying "9 or less people" and then this person quoting a higher price and saying 10 or more people. The website is very clear when you go through this information specifically for Disneyland and specifically for INDIVIDUAL ENROLLMENT. This person is saying that there is no individual enrollment basically, even though the website shows four classes. When I click on the group enrollment information, that reflects 10 or more but still not the prices she is telling me. She mentioned that "even If I book thru Disney, they need 10 or more" which leads me to believe I can book thru Disney, just no one is telling me a different number to call for that other that the ones that eventually end up speaking with this third party. So that would be why I feel this way and am engaging in "this talk". Thanks for your help

The people who handle groups and the people who handle individual enrollment are two completely different companies. You're talking to the wrong one.

:magnify: Yes, looks like you clicked on the wrong program. A Google search will lead you to the educational page where you must click on the individual enrollment tab.

We have researched and contacted for the enrollment application just a few days ago. I did a screen shot of the current pricing...

I have been reading that classes are often cancelled or merged because of lack of enrollment. I was told by Disney that we would still be able to use our discounted tickets even if the class is cancelled.

I just looked again and this time I checked individual enrollment and separately looked up group enrollment. Both have two entirely different forms to fill out. There is no question after re checking that I filled out individual enrollment. Same problem. I think most people here probably do the Walt Disney World one, which I have in the past as well and they are maybe speaking on that, but Disneyland is entirely different and wanted to know if they encountered this with Disneyland. The person who I spoke to called me as a result of filling out the individual enrollment form, so I'm not sure how I'm speaking to the wrong person and if I am, does anyone have a number for a correct person besides the general number on the website because I tried that and was given back to this person.

We did Disneyland YES two years ago and signed up for 2 classes. I want to say that both of the ones we chose cancelled and we were offered the choice of an alternate class or to just keep the tickets and skip class. We did go to the alternate class (animation) and enjoyed it.

To the original question, my husband handled the booking but he never mentioned any sort of trouble with a second vendor or anything. It all went smoothly in terms of booking. I'd do it again on our next trip, but the dates don't work out for us.

Could the price discrepancy be because you inquired around the time of the recent price increase?

I've gotten some information on the Individual Enrollment Disneyland classes for this summer as well. The info came from someone at Music America Events and there is mention of USA Student Travel in the email as well. The pricing I received was the same as what Halloweenqueen posted above in the attachment.

I see where the prices on the disneyyouth.com site are lower, but also noticed those are for the "Value Price". When I click on the "Value Price" link (just next to each of the 1-day tickets), I notice nearly all of the summer is not eligible for the value price. Perhaps that is the issue?

By the way, we are considering the Disney's Approach to Leadership and Teamwork and/or Energy and Waves Physics Lab 101 classes for our children on July 24th. Are you planning to go at that time?
