Xray Specs, Sea Monkeys and Tootsie Rolls

Does anyone remember when they were younger reading comics with ads in them for xray specs, sea monkeys and toodsie rolls ? I was always desperate to find out what they were like I was so dissapointed to find out that xray specs didnt work, sea monkeys were little shrimps and tootsie rolls were just toffees.
DH remembers watching an ad on the tv where a 6d ( yes a 6d he is that old ) Rolling along the the length of a Toblerone and it took ages to get to the end imagine his dissapointment to find it was only about 6 inches long.

My DS had sea monkeys for ages. (Oh dear, that makes it sound like a disease!)

ETA there's nothing wrong with remembering 6d.

Yep, I remember all that stuff. Sea Monkeys especially were something I always longed for but never got. Good thing really as they would have been a real disappointment.

How about Bazooka Joe bubble gum with the little comics and tattoos?

I remember bazooka bubble gum and those tattoo's - I can remember all the kids thinking they were really cool.
